so um, I don't suppose you want to trade dental bills then?

dental care is something that is not subsidised here. I can get cheaper doctors visits, use the public hospital for free, reduced prescription charges- in fact most of the subsidised ones only cost me $3.
I have to pay full price for the dentist. I can get govt assistance up to $300.

Recenlty I had to have a tooth surgically removed. It took 2 hours to finally extract the thing. That cost me $350. I need two other teeth pulled (one is the twin to this one on the other side...), a root canal in an almost front tooth and various fillings. The total bill is going to be $2500, needless to say, I haven't got anything else done because I can't afford to yet and the longer I am leaving it, the more painful it is getting.

Ouch Ven!

That makes no sense that they cover health care but not dental. Though even in the US dental coverage is always much lower if availabe at all.

Hey Caly..

Way to go... thank goodness that came through for you!! What a relief!!! I hope that everything is feeling better now. I hate dentist, I am blissfully blessed that I have never had a cavity or a filling and don't have to go to the dentist but once a year for even a cleaning.. but I had an awful experience pulling out my wisdom teeth and I am petrified of the dentist... uggg.... I am so glad that everything worked out for you.

Yayyyyy for the duck and for you Caly! Glad to hear the good news.
I am going to have to tell Sheila about it since the coverage from her company is not so hot!

Thanks Laurie. It is unfortunately not cheap (but then what insurance is) heheehe, but what is good is you can buy seperate packets of coverage like dental, or accident, or cancer coverage.
