Actually a couple questions.. and I am asking Caly cause I know she likes to cook and well any one else out here that knows can offer answers too if ya want(The More The better)

Well lets see what I can tell ya. *grin


All Olives are salty because the fruit in its natural state is too bitter to eat so it is soaked in brine to make it edible.

I'll just add one little thing. If you don't like your spanish olives (green olives) to be as salty, you can pour off half of the liquid in the jar and refill with water. My dad always did this, sometimes adding a little lemon juice too, because he preferred them to be just to his taste. :o)

Well Thanks Caly!~ That was Quite Informational.. I will be throwing out those olives that are stuffed with the Feta Cheese soon then... LOL... cause I didn't take any of the Liquid with them when I took them out of the bin!~ Duh!~ LOL.. But Next time I will and I will try the darker ones...Maybe they won't seem so salty to me ..
