I traveled to and from Indiana by myself. Spent 6 weeks away from my family. Spent my birthday the way I wanted to... Away from my family. LOL

Two highlights of the year (more on the 1st on another post).
1) Met a lady and for the first time acknowledged that a female relationship is what I want.
2) Spent a week at Disney, FL for a week on a "Make a Wish" trip.
I've babysat for my young friend since she was 2 1/2 - she's 7 1/2 now. She has cerebral palsy: does not stand or sit w/o support, hard to understand when she speaks, and some cognitive delays. On the other hand she has the MOST infectious laugh I've ever heard, loves princesses, swings, swimming, bubbles, Cheetos and ice cream. (Except for the princess thing, we've got a lot in common :) ) The trip was great - the Make A Wish people know how to do things right!! The week with her family (mom, dad, big brother - 17, little brother - 1) went so fast and includes many great memories.
AND I'm the "go to" person for the next big event in her life - another baby brother arriving next week. I get to bring her to meet her new sib (as I did for little bro #1 two years ago). In fact, that was her first question when she found out that mom was having a baby - was I going to take her to the hospital?
Hey Flipper!
Sounds like a momentus year! And more wonderful things on the way for 2007.
I went white water rafting for the first time this year too!!! (I've been a kayaker for a couple of years). It was AWESOME!!!

It's been a crazy year for me...I have 3 pretty huge things, looking back..
First, I fulfilled my dream of 10 years by moving to Chattanooga, TN. It was short-lived, though, as I had to come back to NC to help my Aunt with my grandmother and my uncle, who are both ill.
Secondly, I met Lisa while in TN, and that relationship continues to flourish.
Third, my son became a Marine.
WOW! What a year!
