Where to met mature lesbians?

Where do you meet lesbians between the ages of 35-50 who are intelligent? I want to find a woman who is a professor, doctor, psychologist, minister, writer, artist basically someone who is in a feild that requires intellect and a lot of deep thinking. I do not care how much they make I just want someone who is spiritual and likes psychology or philosphy. I know a woman who matches this description exactly yet she is married and a relationship could NEVER be possible. I am pretty sure I can't just go into a bar and meet this type of woman! any ideas?

Hi Michellelynn,
I don't think there's any one place to meet mature lesbians. In our community, lesbian professionals such as you described are fairly closeted.
The places I would suggest are open churches such as the Unitarian Universalist church in addition to other places where lesbians hang out. Here there's a social group that meets every week (we found it online) at a coffee shop/tea room. There are softball teams, bowling leagues, and book clubs. All we had to do was search online for lesbian groups in our town. This past weekend we visited a very eclectic bookstore that was obviously a gay and lesbian hangout.
I say find these situations and put yourself out there. And, don't exclude lesbians who do not work in professional fields. It's not the job that makes one intellectual. The important thing is to get to know and click with someone on all levels, not just on an intellectual one.
Good luck to you!
GOOGLE Lesbian Resource(s) or Gay and Lesbian Resources, Michelle. I know here in the Pacific Northwest we have tons of groups for all ages, even go further and google femme lesbians. However I believe what you are looking for you can find at most Universities (see if they have a Women's Center-even G/L center), or even Lesbian penpals, then see what is closest to you. I know of one that has been around for eons, but the name escapes me.How about Bookclubs? Librarians ? My ex is a career nurse and administrator. She also used to facilitate a State Mandated support group for nurses in recovery from alcohol and substance abuse. (I'm not sure why I mentioned that ...smirk) But it was her Intelligence that stuck out for me, multi-degreed....God she was/is smart...well, come to think of it...maybe she wasn't That smart ! She let ME go ! :)
Good luck with your search!
