Question of the Week - 2/12/07

HI ALL!
I know that Seasonal Affective Disorder is not uncommon, I have suffered from it myself in the past. I also know that sometimes cold rainy days just give me the 'blues'.

I am affected by the weather/dark days and nights an awful lot! I've always struggled more with my depression during the winter than in the summer when I can plenty of sun on my face! So of course, I live in England! Go figure...
I've been considering getting one of those light boxes, but I think I'm finally beating this thing with the help of a fabulous counsellor and some deeply fascinating meditation! I feel like I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel now! :o)
Hugs,
Chris

Loaded question here Caly!LOL This winter has really had it's toll on me this year. I've bought those balanced spectrum lamps that give off natural sunlight instead of the regular bulbs and I think it's helping. BUT we've had such awful snowy, way below zero weather here the past month -- it's just wearin' me thin!!! It's hard to not get down.
Where's Spring and the sunny nice weather??!!
Every now and again, I do get the winter blues, but I do come out of it. The ladies that used to post here knows that I love snow, and it's snowing!!! But as winter drags along, I do become anxious for spring to come. I try to keep my spirits up because I know that winter doesn't last forever.
Great question.
