Hi Gemini,

I did have some exposure to that book, but it was for singles. It was presented in my church's Sunday school. We were asked to tell how we felt love, and how to find ways to express our love for one another (in non-sexual ways).

I found out that in order for me to felt as though I was loved, it is through physical touch, and if I allow someone to come into my person space. Now, I don't allow too many people into my personal space. My personal space is an arm's length. Most of the relationships with the women in my past, the majority of them approached me with sex. It was a very few and inbetween that I allowed to get close to me, emotions-wise.

I am friendly and open, but at many times guarded. Hence my alter ego, Sir Raven. (suit of armor, included). I takes me a long time to allow anyone too close to me, and believe me it isn't easy.

Anyway, that's my experience with that book series.

Thanks and hugs,

Sebastian

Hugs,

Sebastian

This is interesting, and I hope you will share more about it as you get into the book. I found it a bit difficult to figure out my language. I'm a cross between physical and quality time I think. I think it's really important to talk about things like this with our partners and keep the lines of communication open all the time. You're right, it's hard when everyday life gets in the way, but it's sooooo vital to any relationship, IMO.

Hey there,

I was the more the physical side of the test.... I want to get more into it.. I am going to try to get the book before we meet up this weekend.. :) I want Debra to take the test too.. I am like you, we too have had our rough spots and I want to make sure that I do not make the same mistakes in our relationship that I did in my two marriages. It is very important to me...I always want to make sure that I am doing everything in my power to make her happy.... I am glad that you liked it.. and I will post the quiz after I get the book.. I look forward to us discussing it further.. it will be fun!!!!

Hey Sebastian,

Thank you for your input... I can relate to holding people at an arms length, I am like you with the physical side of it but always felt that all people were wanting from me was sex and that is not what I wanted.. ...It has been hard for me to open up to Debra but I am doing

That is so awesome that you guys read the book together and discussed it like that. I would love for Debra and I to do that. That is so great that you still refer to it. Thanks for the input.. I can't wait to get the book...it sounded really good when they were discussing it and you just confirmed it for me.. thank you....

Hey you,

I had a little trouble with the mini quiz too.. I think the more in depth quiz will be a little easier to decipher what we are looking for exactly.. I am looking forward to sharing it with everyone and seeing what all everyone gets out of it.. Jules was very positive about her experience with the book so that makes me more excited to read it. I would love to read it with Debra, just to maybe even get a little better understanding of what she is needing but she doesn't always let me know so as not to hurt my feelings, etc... Hopefully I will have it by this weekend and we can take a look see at it!!!

Hugs...
