Hey all,

Caly and I are going to visit her parents in New York in a couple of months, and we'll be going into NYC for a couple of days. For those of you who have been there or live nearby, do you have any recommendations for fun things to do/see and good restaurants? I visited a few years ago and loved it but of course didn't get to see half of what I wanted to.

We're definitely going to the Museum of Natural History and I'd like to go to the Empire State Building and stroll through more of Central Park.

Thanks in advance!

oh yeah and I really enjoyed my bike tour through central park. I'll see if i can find a link. They hook you up with the bike and helmet for $10-15.

And duh, the Met is a must. I went twice and still didn't see everything.

Thanks for the recommendation! We will be staying with Caly's parents nearby this time but will consider it for future visits.

You've got some cool recommendations, Queen! Thanks! I'm not sure we're going to be there at night, at least not late night, but I'm hoping we can eat dinner in the city at least once. We're staying in Westchester Co. with Caly's parents.

When I went to NYC three years ago with my parents and exH, he and I missed our subway stop and ended up in Harlem. It was almost like a ghost town. exH walked down the street with his map open; we screamed "tourists". I told him to put it away! We walked I don't know how many blocks back toward town...getting to Central Park was a relief!

The Met is awesome. I saw very little of it when we went before. This time we'll do the Museum of Natural History and the planetarium there.
