Any Established Writers Here?

Hello Everybody. I'm usually just a lurker on this board...but I'm hoping you may be able to help me out.
I have a very good friend who is an amazing writer. She writes humor/comedy/lesbian blogs/columns and she is absolutely hysterical. I was wondering if any of you may have any suggestions on what we can do to get her material out there and get her some exposure. We just don't know where to start to make any of this passion start to happen for her. Here's a link so that you can read some for yourself...

Would any of you happen to have any suggestions or input?
THANK YOU

Hi and welcome! Glad you came out of lurkdom.
I don't really have any perfect suggestions though I do know that for poetry there is a book put out each year called Poet's Market that lists publishers what they are looking for and address and rules for submission.
I also called newspapers and magazines and had some published columns, photos etc that way.
Most of all do not be afraid of rejection. It comes with the job.
Most publications have a certain way that they want you to submit your work, that is why I am suggesting you get a copy of the Writer's Market. It will cost you around $50.00 or more, but it is worth it.
One friend of mine had a greeting card published using the Writer's Market.
Good luck to your friend!
You are nice to help her.
Hugs,
Laurie

Welcome, ishelty!
There's a great iVillage message board call The Writing Life (http://messageboards.ivillage.com/iv-bcwritinglif?redirCnt=1), which might be of great help in addition to the resources the others have posted.
Good luck!
