Hey All,
My computer died on me last year and it was about three or four months before I got another one. Since then I have been working my tail off and dealing with the weather and the flu. I meant to get here sooner to let you all know that I am still alive and kickin'. I am still doing the home improvement thing when I can. I got my roof done. I finished most of the bathroom except the shower. I put new carpet in the front room last week after looking at a bare nasty wood floor for about six months. I have to repair water damaged paneling in several places where the windows were not sealed. I have a leak in the drain under the kitchen sink that needs fixed also.
On a good note....I am totally out of debt. My truck is paid off. My credit card is paid off and cancelled. So far I have saved over $1,000 since I am just paying utilities now. Once I get done with the home improvement projects I will be able to save more money.
I am still single and available LOL :-). I miss you all and will visit the board more often. Take care all and God Bless.

Hey Sebastian,
It is good to hear from you too. I took your advice from your email and made the necessary change. I hope things are going well for you. I will keep in touch.

Hey Laurie,
It is good to be back and good to hear from you. As for doing home improvement and saving money....I live in a mobile home. The home improvements are just an improvement in looks. I am not really doing any major renovations.... just covering up the bad and making it look better in a cheap way. I am doing what I can and what I can't do I'll find someone that knows how.
I want to move and get out of this trailer but that will be in the future. If I go to an apartment I don't want to take both dogs and I refuse to give them up. They are rowdy dogs and they have minds of their own. So for now I will stay where I am at. I am also thinking of a condomineum. Just something I am thinking about. People keep telling me to buy a house but I don't want to go that route just yet. Maybe if I find a lifetime partner that will be something to consider. But right now it is just me and I don't need alot of space to live in.
Hope things are going good for you. Take care and I will see you around.

Hey Cat,
Great to hear from you too. I had a couple of neighbors do my roof for me and paid them for it. The bathroom has been painted and I took contact paper to cover the bathroom counter. It isn't the best but it looks better. I had some water damage in front of the sink and the linoleum looked liked crap. I took a board and put over the water damaged area and screwed it down. Then I took some throw rugs and put them on the floor to cover most of it. I have a new shower curtaian to keep the nasty shower closed off. I still have to figure out a cheap way to cover the walls in the shower.
The carpet I put down in the front room was the peel and stick squares. I pulled the old carpet up back in August. I got tired of looking at the nasty wood floor so I put the cheapest carpet I could find down. It looks 100% better. Now I have to fix the wall that has been severly damaged by water where I had a window air conditioner in it. I don't want to tear anything out and replace....just cover up the bad and make it look better. This trailer isn't worth investing alot of money in. I also have a leak in the drain under the kitchen sink that needs repaired. I am taking it one step at a time. Other than that I am doing great. Work is keeping me busy and on the weekends I either relax and take it easy or work on another home improvement project.
I hope things are going good for you. Take care and I will keep in touch.

I hope you can get a nice place for you and your dogs. I bought a house with a fenced in yard for my dogs, but I do have a life partner.
It is cheaper than living in the apartment I was renting. (The monthly payments, that is.)
Same thing when I was in the Navy. I bought a condo and it was cheaper than living in an apartment.
Just something to think about. As for now the trailor sounds cozy for one person and her doggies.
You take care too and please keep in touch with us!
Hugs,
Laurie
