Hi thanks for welcoming me to the group. I live in cali bay area...late thirties.. Single...Looking to connect with other lesbians..Finding it hard to meet other lesbians...Im in a small town..Don't go to clubs or bars...more of a quiet type person..Used to go clubbing but think ive grown out of that...So hope to meet more women and get to know em.... =))
I would think that being out in CA you wouldn't need to go to a club or bar to meet Lesbians. Check your local alternative newspaper and may find ads for women's groups that do things like hike or bike (If you are into that) The internet can be a good source of information on local lesbian social groups too, even if they are not right in your town.
Hey Andie, I have been in a relationship with my girlfriend now for about two years. She and I first met when we were freshmen in college here. We became friends. Over a period of time out friendship developed into something much deeper. Eventually, we became intimate. We both graduated late last summer and began teaching school last September. I am 21, but I will be 22 later this month. Texas is a great place to live. Like Southern California, the weather is nice for much of the year. The only downside to living here is conservative political view that many people here have. They do not understand the gay lifestyle and what they do not understand, they fear. As a consequence, Danielle and I play down out lifestyle. Our family and friends know about us, but she and I do not go out of our way to make it know that we are partners. Those who do not know us well just think that we are close friends, who happen to share an apartment. It is good to meet someone from out of state!
Hey, Andie, how's it going? I'm Blue and a school teacher in Pennsylvania. Weather sucks here. This is a really awesome group of women that laugh, talk, and get passionate about whole slew of things. They give great advice.
Hi Sarah, Let's see...Ive been out of a relationship for about a year I met my ex at work. She was married, I was attracted to her from the beginning. Told her I was gay..I helped her at work and then things developed. She said she was gonna leave her husband because he was abusive. Never did...We were together for a year. Then I changed jobs and it ended...I really loved her..I was her first... My ex was a french teacher. Thats cool that you and your G/f are both teachers...What grades do you teach? Right now Im just babysitting...After I broke up with my ex I needed time to think.........so I decided to take a year off and babysit my nieces baby boy. Hes 14 months. Hes soooo cute, adorable!! So...have you always been "out"? I didn't come out til '97. Up until that time I always had boyfriends...tried to suppress my feelings for women.
Hey blue thanks for responding...so....what grade do you teach? I drove thru PA once..in 97..lol. How is Pennsylvania...do you live in a small town... I work in retail..but took a year off to just chill and watch my niece's two kids.. Had a bad break up and needed the time off...
