I'll try to make this the Reader's Digest Condensed version, because I know time is valuable.

Thanks a million, Rogue,

I can forgive her not sitting down with me to talk, although I'd have preferred it. She's in Colorado & I'm in NC, so it wasn't a possibility.

I feel the need to find answers not quite so much to rebut her, but rather to soothe my soul.

I have tried to look up the words gay, lesbian, homosexual, etc in the Bible Concordance and there is no translation.
The word seems to have been added or translated wrong.
I know all the Bible books that the Christians use to point us out as an abomination. But what about all the books that were left out.
I have some research I have done on line too. I will look it up and post you the links. It is very interesting about the history of the Bible and when the homosexual translation bit became a part of it by puritans.
A word they used to translate as homosexuals according to the Bible concordance (which is the hebrew and greek Bible translations.) was a word for men who dressed up like woman and did not let other men know first. It was spoken of in a context of deciet. That is the way I have taken it. I have to look up the word because it has been awhile. But that is what I remember of it.
I find the book of Corinthians to be very interesting.
Sometimes the Bible also will seem very contridictive. That seems to be because there are so many oppinions in the Bible just like there are today.
Paul, for example, spoke much about his oppinions and even says, "it is my oppinion," etc..
Paul is alot about Catholisism.
I will look some of these things up and post them to you.
An Assemblies of God preacher told me that Sodom and Gomorha was not a story about homosexuality but instead it was a story about Immorality and debauchery. (Please excuse any spelling errors.)
That is a big one that Christians use against us.
I know I need to dig back into my research so I can give you some back up and hard evidence.
I always have that little what if.. inside me too, but it gets quieter all the time.
Hugs for now,
Laurie

Sure eastie,
I posted some things for her. I will post more on the subject too. I know her mom may not come full circle, but she might come to a place of accepting Storm for who she is.
I too want Storm to have some inner peace about this.
Hugs,
Laurie

Being raised a Catholic, I am not much of a Bible person. There's the whole Sodom and Gomorrah thing, but I have heard that used in different contexts. I try to remember that the book was written by fearful men trying to keep a people in "moral line" and writing things that don't make sense now. Old Testament will not let you eat pork, won't let you put dairy with meat, etc. I am hoping that I am not hurting anybody here.
If your mom is a real fundamentalist, she is going to have a hard time coming to terms with you, I think. I don't know what your relationship has been in the past, but if it has been good, I think she will eventually come around. She might just need to get all "this" out of her system.

I have been sending good vibes your way today. Keep your head up and be proud.
