I don't think she was fired. My guess is that she wasn't happy (and is probably more at home having her own show than sharing the spotlight) and was perhaps forced out because of all the controversy surrounding her. It will be interesting to see who they get to fill her spot.

I don't think she was fired, she brought the ratings up and that is what it is all about!

Well, whether she was fired, left on her own, or was "forced" to leave, Donald Trump has so much power or perceived power, that everyone will think he pulled the puppet strings and "bye, bye, Rosie." I agree, I liked her and her spirit.

I think she did leave on her own. I don’t see her sitting there still participating if it was not her choice. Look at Star, she left or thrown out quick enough after she announced she was leaving the show. I heard/read Rosie is being bidding by NBC & CBS to come on board their network.

I don't think dumptruck have that much power over at The View or ABC. He works for a rival of ABC. From what I heard/read, Rosie was just doing a year stint at the View than have her own show on ABC two years later. ABC want her to signed up for three more years with this renewal but that would overlap her intention of having her own show again so they were not able to agreed on how many years she should be on the View. All this gossip swirling around her leaving, I personally believe she really just up to doing a year at a time and like the option of thinking it over every year to see if she’s up to it. I think her home life is more important to her than committing to a network for longterm. She seems to really enjoy her young kids and doing things with them.

I like seeing Meridith on The View too. Few times I caught her on the Today Show I thought she did well. But I do preferred the interaction she had with the ladies of the View.

You could be absolutely right about this and I defer to you, since I do not watch this show, but have only seen bits and pieces. I must tell you the impression at work is that he pulled the strings, and as I tell my bosses, perception is 90% of what people BELIEVE whether it is true or not.
