Letting Go

I am a wreck about my friend, Michele. Sometimes I want to cry and sometimes I am really angry at her. This is the one who said, don't write, email, call, text. She seems so nice professionally, but GOD!!! I just want to go to her room and say "can we talk?"I can't seem to let her go. I know times heals, but not fast enough. Any suggestions out there?

You are right. I'm open to all suggestions.
I keep trying to make eye contact when I am out shopping, but there are 35 times more straight women that gay women. I don't think there are any here, lol and when I do see them, they are obviously together. I am not complaining at all and I am new to this openness, so bear with me. I also think the wedding band throws them off. It would throw me off.
Thanks for the thoughts, Laurie.

Your feelings are valid. There’s nothing wrong with what you are feeling. I wouldn’t ignore or belittle your emotions either. And, it took me a long time to begin healing. I mean a long time. I think everyone heals differently too. You’ll have your ups and downs with this as you are already aware.

Hang in there. I thought that I would never stop hurting. I thought that I was doomed to this heartbreak. My heart is free now. I’m free.

Take care,

Yesterday, though, she was surrounded by a lot of my friends at lunch and the day before, also. I have told all my friends that I don't expect them to take sides, but these two days make me think differently. She is a very powerful force. I am wondering if she is gathering all these people around her, 'cause she is back in that "competition" mode and telling me that she can command these people by the force of her will and leave me in the dust.

This is wierd.....not friends! Sound like school children. Are these adults?

Yep. She came to lunch again today. Remember, the other adults do not know the situation. They just think we have had a falling out. It is just so weird. We are all there talking, but I never say one thing to her. If you knew how close we were.... I gotta find a way to get over this. I am taking off Thursday because I promised mich, have a union event on the weekend and then taking our 7th graders camping for a week. Hopefully, she will be out of my system by then.

It doesn't seem very adult, but it is and then it is very surreal.

I just need a small conversation. At least that's all I hope I need. :)

Thanks for the thought

Blue,
That would be so hard.
Glad you are taking the day off as promised to mich.
We never went camping when I was in school... not as a school group anyway... How fun that sounds.

It is the most incredible thing. We go down to Cape Henlopen, DE. It is an old WWII military base that was converted to a state park. We use all the old bunkhouses and mess halls. We use two youth camps, one for the boys and one for the girls. We bring down all of our own food and utensils and all of our own activities. We go seining, beachcombing, on a pine barrens hike to where the old howitzers used to be placed and do adventure based activities. We also take them on a dolphin watch. That's just during the day.
We have recreational activities at night and late night beach walk. I could go on and on, but let's just say that it is amazing. It's amazing that you can get teachers to live 24/5 in the sand with middle school children.

YOU, I think, would love it.
