Glad to have you back! Sorry to hear you had some troubles. Maybe you can write to us about them and some of the high points of the trip.
Would love to hear about it.

Hey, girl, it IS good to be back. Seems the board was reasonably quiet in my absence.
High points about the trip-the weather was the best we've ever had and I have been going down to the Cape for a lot of years. The kids were pretty good. The first half of the week the dolphin watch was incredible and the second half was good. The food was very good and extremely well prepared. *wink* If I do say so myself.
I am pretty sure that two the counselors were LIT's, but they're still just kids. Well, one is, the other is over 21. The gaydar was pinging. lol
Low points-My kitchen help went home leaving me stranded with 150 people to feed. One of my mottos down there is "adapt and modify." We did, but it was extremely stressful feed 300 in a mess hall that normally holds about 250.
There was some drama between the staff members. That is to be expected when you are working in the kind of environment we were. People are just out of their comfort zone with the whole camp set up.
Lack of sleep is always a concern. I am up by 5:45 every morning and don't go to bed until 1:30 or 2am as I clean up after evening staff snacks. We have night watch that lasts for an hour and a half after lights out. The staff who can stay up has snacks made my me, ice cream, candies, etc. waiting for the watches to be over. Then I clean up.
Anyway, I just love it down there and would do that full time if it paid anything. Of course, I would need time off for umping, also.
Everybody here have a good week?????
Hugs to all

Good morning blue!
As the others said, it's good to have you back. I read the other messages while you were gone and was glad to see that you did take that day off. I hope it helped. Happy to read the camping trip went well too;)
Hey Blue,
Well, it's good to know that you had a reasonably good week and that the kids had fun.
I started school, offically this past Monday. My head has been in my books ever since I began. Of course, I do take breaks every now and again. But most of the time, it's study, study, study.
I'm going to school Mon - Thur and when Thursday night comes and my class is out, I feel more relaxed and happy, but I use the time wisely.
Thanks for asking and welcome back.

Hey, Sebastian. Thanks for the welcome back.
I can't remember what classes you said you were taking, or if you even said. I hope you like each one of them. I really love going to school. Puts me in an evironment with different kinds of people with different interests and expands my horizons. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Hey Blue,
I've said it many times ad nauseum. I'm taking up Drug and Alcohol Counseling. I'm taking my pretech classes first. Pretech reading and pretech writing. I most definately will enjoy it, and you're right, you do get to meet a wide variety of people.
Thanks,
Sebastian

SB,
I knew what course of study you were taking, I just didn't remember what particular classes you were enrolled in this time. Sorry. The long weekend gig is a nice thing. You will probably be doing a lot of your coursework then. I found Saturday and Sunday morning to be my most productive times, before the day really begins at my house. Have a wonderful holiday.

Thanks, Cat!
Good to be back. Wish I was going back on Tuesday, but then I would never have the opportunity to post here, except on weekends. At least it is a short work week and Friday is Civil War Day. Saturday is the 8th grade dance(I'm in charge). Then I don't have to think any more all year. Just teach sex ed and be done!
Nice on the true blue trooper thing.....
Hugs
