I just wanted to post this because I am soooo excited and happy this evening and I am not getting much support here at home. I feel like a little kid with a shiny new toy, and there isn't anybody to share it with, so I picked you guys. You have given me such good advice and comfort for the anxiety and bad stuff.
This afternoon I got a call that I was selected to work home plate for a district semi-final softball game tomorrow. I have polished up my shoes and belt, pressed my uniform, fixed my hat(that would be my "cover" to our military types lol), and gotten out my Underarmor.
I don't even want to work tomorrow, I just want to umpire. My name has gone into the pool of umpires for the state championship tournament now! It's kind of a big deal in my life.

Thanks for being here for me.

Okay, I have already almost finished typing this when dh came into my office. He NEVER comes in here. I had to shut down quickly.

Anyhow, "act like 47." Don't you wonder what the h*(( that means? I act however I feel and that is my age. I must admit when you said 47, I almost fell off the bench. Good thing I wasn't drinking lol

About 5 years ago, some teachers in my building who were pissed off at my bosses (they really like me) wrote an anonymous letter to the superintendent complaining and making all kinds of accusations. My name appeared in the letter as a teacher who "didn't know how to act her age." Imagine how pissed off I was. I had a meeting with the super, at his request, and everything was fine after we chatted. I have always wondered who didn't have my back, and in fact, went out of their way to stab me in it when I wasn't lookng. I just like to have a little fun, take a dare if the stakes are right, and let loose from time to time. I am a teacher above all, however, and do have certain standards. I'm just not sure what they are...lol

SB, you dog!!!
Now I am getting you. The gloves are now off and I can be very comfortable with you.
What's this inside joke about your name? Was there a contest for it? lol

Good thing you are kissing my face cheek and not kissing my a$$! rofl.

Thanks for reminding me about Baxter's. I gotta program that in the memory banks.

Hugs and kisses back.
Hope to meet soon.

There is no joke about my male name, Blue. I'm just particular about how it's spelled. But I'm just letting people know that it's ok to call me SB or Seb. LOL!

I'm hoping that we can meet sometime soon, too. That's all I've ever wanted from any of the newbies, is for them to be comfortable with me. I'd like to be a brother to all of you ladies.

Just ask Laurie or any of the other ladies, I'm a gentle, protective soul and I wouldn't harm a hair on your head.

tickle roflmaooooo,

Sebastian

Okay, women and SB, I am going to go out on a limb today. My picture appeared in a local paper umpiring on Monday at second base. For those that are interested go to Google and type in Delaware County Times, click on it, scroll down the left hand side to "photo reprints",do the dropdowns for All Publications, high school softball, last 7 days. I am in the picture of the umpire calling a girl safe on 6/5 of The Phoenix. It is not a very flattering pic, I need a haircut, but the form is crisp, the uniform is immaculate, and I am obviously shouting "safe." I bought the pic, matted and framed for $88. What a ripoff!!!!! The shipping and handling was $29.

This was my last big gig of the year and I have hung up my uni. Thanks for sticking it out with me!

Thanks and hugs to all
