my "weird" thought for today...

Hi Ladies,
See, I told you I wouldn't leave! Well, today I had a thought and have no idea where to go with it, but here, so here I am.

There is a girl/lady/female (we are all girls imo) that is a teacher at the language school I am in. She has substituted a couple of times in our class when our teacher had to leave early..
Today I see her walking down the street hand in hand with what has to be her girlfriend, there's just no doubt about it.
I don't know this teacher-girl, except for the times she has been in our class and in the halls, so I just smiled, she smiled back and we continued on our ways.

My thought/question comes here.. I wonder how she feels about me seeing her with her girlfriend when it is something that she obviously hasn't said to us students. (Not that we discuss our sexuality in language school. LOL)

But, how would you or do you feel when you see someone you know and they get to see into a part of your life that you haven't shared with them?
Do I make any sense?

Thanks for your reading this.
One very curious cat,

So many ways to go with this and my evil mind. ;)
I will stay above "board" here, though. I will only keep you after school if it would benefit you. I rarely give detentions, because it punishes me as well as the student. NOW, if you are staying after for extra help, that is a totally different story! I'm all for after school help. And in this unit, you may need some help. lol

I'm going to mostly echo what others have already said...

There's no reason for it to have come up in class, so I doubt she was hiding it. It just didn't come up. If she was walking down the street in public hand-in-hand with her girlfriend, then I would assume she is very comfortable being out and won't think twice when she sees you at school.

Jamie and I hold hands in public all the time. If we ran into someone either of us knew, it wouldn't phase us a bit. I usually assume (incorrectly) that everyone who knows me knows I'm gay. Because I'm SO open and out to SO many people, I forget that I have to out myself sometimes still. So I wouldn't give it a second thought if someone saw Jamie and I together. I guess the only thing that would make me think about it is if they reacted negatively and freaked out. Since that didn't happen, she's probably forgotten all about it by now.

Thank you ladies for all your replies. I did read all the replies as they were posted, but I just haven't had time to reply.
Here's some things I wanted to say in reply to issues/thoughts brought up:

I do agree with everyone that has said because she was in public holding hands, that she must be comfortable with herself and relationship. I guess most of what I was thinking is a "Finnish-ism" Finns are thought to worry much about what others think about them. LOL. I guess I'm becoming quite Finn-like in all my years living here.
Another part of my thoughts were that homosexuality is less accepted in most cultures, in general. Not everywhere...but it is "different" than being straight. Not that it should be. Love is love, after all.

Storm: I probably won't be seeing the teacher again at school. I've finally gotten a job and won't be returning to the course in August. It's a good thing and a semi sad thing. I liked the course.

Caly: You make me grin. I love this reply you had:
"Also I would venture to say that the majority of lesbians don't introduce themselves as " Hi I am Amy and I am Lesbian".)"
How true..and most often us straight people don't introduce ourselves that way either..But then often times I think it is taken as "straight until proven otherwise". Or something like that.

Annie: You're right. The subject of ones sexual preference never did come up in class. Honestly, I know many of the people in my class would have been upset if not freaked by this bit of info.

Most of all, I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their thoughts and response. I love being able to hear all sides of issues and being able to ask questions and not get yelled at for having different ideas and points of view.
