How cool and awesome!!!! You will definitely have to report back. What a great thing to have happen.

I got a "Lucky" pin from Melissa Etheridge's CD and I put it on my badge for the union stuff. I feel a lttle weird about it. I figure only lesbians/gays would know where it was from and I might make some friends that way. On the other hand, I don't know how stupid it is. It seems like it might be okay for somebody to recognize it as a subtle sign.

We really did have a very nice weekend with these ladies. Those of you who've been posting here for a while know that it's been kind of difficult for us to break into the social scene here. Our new friends said the same thing - this town is just not that open. I told Caly that we just need to seek out the transplants and give up on the locals. lol

Anyway, it's really hard to find good, true friends (be they hetero or homosexual)

THAT is awesome!!! Good for you and TiNG. You know, just agreeing to go to dinner is sometimes a scary thing. You never know how people are going to react, what the protocol is for their environment, etc. I am so happy for both of you!!

How awesome that displaying your bumper sticker found you a great group of women to hang out with. I hope that in the coming weeks you are able to spend more time with these ladies, it sounds like you two had a wonderful time at dinner. I can't wait until I'm at the point in my life where putting a rainbow sticker on my car is no biggie! I'm out to most, but not quite ready to display my outness 24/7.... It is crazy though that you feel a certain closeness to those that proudly display their orientation since we are such a minority. And I 2nd the thought that it would be great if we all lived close! Can you imagine the friendships and fun we'd share?!?!
