I've been searching for a book to mail to my mother to help her with this process, so I've read several lately, (with no luck, really).

The Prodigal Summer. One of the best I have ever read. The prose is lyrical.

I've read some great books lately, but they're not exactly beach reading.

I am currently reading Motor Mouth... I can't think of the author's name. It's a humorous mystery about a woman that works with NASCAR.

I haven't read much lately other then a few montly romance novels and toddler books! I would like to read the Emily Griffin book called Baby Proof. It looks amusing.

Baby Proof
by Emily Giffin

When Claudia and Ben fell in love and wed, they both agreed to buck tradition with a child-free marriage. But somewhere down the road Ben changes his mind and decides he wants a child after all. This is the witty, heartfelt bestseller about what happens to the perfect couple when they suddenly have different priorities, and the things they'll do — and won't do — for love.

I second bluediamondldy's recommendation of A Prodigal Summer by Barbara Kingsolver. I am also reading a book right now called "Eat, Love, Pray" by Elizabeth Gilbert. Very funny but serious book.
