*Sigh

Hello ladies, well what it boils down to is I have to bridge. I spoke with the dept chair of the English Dept and she wouldn't give me an extention, but that's ok. I'll just expect the worst, but look for the best. And that's just being real honest with the situation. We had a nice conversation and I explained my position and I expressed my desire to give my instructor what it was that he wanted. I'm the type of person that when my instructor is either giving a lecture, or is giving directions on how to do something, I'm paying strict attention to him or her (especially if she's a cutie) ;) lol! If there isn't a lecture or anything else going on, I'm mainly facing my computer and doing my work. How's that for being anal? lol!

Me and my instructor talked it out and we settled our differences of opinion and came to the conclusion that 1. He overlooked my work, accidently (we all make mistakes) 2. Even though the department chair said I did good on my concept map, and my other work, there was just a glicth in his and my communication.

To tell y'all the truth, my work is done, but it's not done on time. I might not have to stay back too long in being in Pre-tech Reading. So, I'll get back on top of my game and get 'er done.

Thanks for your support and understanding, ladies and thanks for letting me vent.

Hugs to everyone,

Sebastian.

Sounds like a real pain, but what else can you do?
Sorry it has to be that way.

Hi Laurie,

Well *sigh there's not much that I can really do. I only have to finish off the concept map and the essay.

The only consolation that I have through all of this, is that he admitted that he overlooked the work that I did, and during the course of our side conversation, I did point out to him that I sent him an email (I am an email sending fool) asking him if I was missing anything, and if I was, what was it that I needed to replace. Since he didn't give me an answer either way, I took it into consideration that he had everything that was needed.

It wasn't until it came down to the nitty gritty, that he realized the mistake that he made, and with that I'm satisfied.

Hugs to you and Sheila,

Sebastian

Kudos for him to admit it. I have experienced the opposite (academia hates being wrong--usually). Good for you for having been an "email fool" and covered your tracks. At least you have that, which is something. A good habit too in business.

Hey, Seb.

Read your prior post. Sorry your week starts out aggravating but I am happy to read all is working out now. I’m glad it turns for the better and your mindset is in much positive mode.

For the future: *handing over*

Hershey kisses when you’re sitting in class listening to a lecture.

Popsicles when you’re riding to class on a hot day.

Edy’s ice cream when you’re accomplished a project! *Smile*

Yeah, I know Laurie. But if things go the way that I want them, I get by bridging by the skin of my teeth.
