Another Vicarious Night

Last night I went to my old student teachers house and she drove us into the city for a little touring and more education. This time she was doing the teaching. G is her name. Now before you get all crazy, she is in a committed relationship and we are just friends. The three places we went were all family establishments.
So the first place we go to is this little martini bar called bump. An after work crowd was there for happy hour. We had a great dinner and the martinis were fabulous. It was funny, though, When happy hour was over, the place really emptied out. Very trendy looking. Lots of eye candy for both men and women. We left there and went to Tavern on Camac. It had a piano player and we had a couple of beers there and chatted for a long time. Just a regular bar. We finished at Sisters, where I went when I was with the union. It was a much different place than the last time. A wider vaiety of people and a good age mix. We shot some pool downstairs, listened to Kareoke on the main floor and then upstairs to dance. I had only ever heard of Sisters and Woody's, so these other places were a treat. She also said that there was a leather bar, but we were not going to that. We each shared our stories. She wanted to know when I thought she was gay. I told her the minute she stepped through my door. She said that she never suspected me. When I first told her last month, she kept saying, "wow" over and over.
So, okay, I had way too much to drink and I was mixing beer and vodka. I have no idea when we left or when I got home. I still don't have my car. I got sick before we left, and hugely sick at home. My son took care of me. NOW isn't that a role reversal!?!?!?! I am not hung over this morning, because I am a believer in getting sick. Takes the toxins right out of you. I know that sounds gross, but it does work. G just kept saying, "don't get sick in my car. This is my baby."
G just called while I am writing this and will be by to take me to my car.
All in all a good night. Round 7 starts on Sunday. Stay tuned........
Hugs to all

Good thing I didn’t get whiplash with all this round and round. *smile*
You?? Nah, your head is screwed on pretty tight. :)
Stick to one type of drink next time so you can enjoy the view more. And find your car.
I remember days of losing my car, lol.
Yes, do keep us posted of your adventures, some of us more settled down female gay people can live vicariously through you. What are we doing saturday night? LOL.
Hugs,
Laurie

Hey, Laurie. I don't mind being sick at all. I used to.
I think I am going to try and recover a little from my adventures of late and pack for the new trip. Maybe I can get ds and his girl to join me for dinner. That's about it.
Why don't y'all catch a movie??
How's the parent situation? Status quo?

C >^. A .
Her birthday is coming up so we are saving back some money to go to the river boat to gamble the day away.
We have a lot of Leo's in the family so we always have a big party for everyone of the Leos in august.
Somtimes that entails going to the river boat too.
Being sick like that is my worst nightmare. I was so sick one time that I did not drink again for 10 years. Now I just have a beer or two or some wine, but not together, lol.
Hugs,
Laurie

Oh, the parent situation... My mom is still fighting an infection from her last surgery. She is almost finished with round three of antibiotics. She goes back to the cancer docs in august to find out why she cannot get over this infection.
It is almost cleared up though. She feels much better and is getting out more.
Sheila's dad is on heart meds and doing therapy in a nursing home. He keeps gaining his strength back. He is a double amputee but is now able to use his sliding board to get from chair to bed etc.
They expect him to come home soon. They have a meeting with the docs next wednesday.
If he comes home we will go up there to visit which is 3 hours north of here, for Sheila's birthday.
Hugs,
Laurie
