Hey catspurrfect,
The story I heard was that if you ever had chicken pox you are a canidate for shingles.
I just recently got vaccinated to prevent shingles. Something called zostarvax I thhink thats the name. I hope S is felling better.

Oh, no, Cat! That's awful. I've never had shingles and only found out what they were this week (someone on another board has them also!). I have had scabies though, so I do understand the pain and itchiness that happens.

I hope the medication helps and S is on her way to recovery fast!

Sorry about ~S~ having shingles. My mom had them a few years ago and was miserable.
I hope she gets better soon.
Hugs,

THe name of the vaccine has the name of the virus in it, I think. I never knew you could be vaccinated for shingles!

Shingles are one of life's little demons and annoyances that people get and you wonder why. I mean you already did the chicken pox thing, why should anybody have to do this again, especially as an adult. I don't mean that it's just a little thing, 'cause it ain't, but it's just another brick in the wall.

I have a friend who got them across his face and he is very particular about his looks. I think it was crushing to him, but his partner was very supportive. They were afraid it would go into his eyes and damage them, but he was lucky. He has just a few tiny scars that are virtually unnoticeable.

Sorry about S.

Hugs
