We plan our one big camping trip every year at the very end of summer; this year it's actually a couple weeks after the kids go back.

Well living in SoCal and being a sahm I don't really have an end of summer. Our weather stays the same almost year round.

I've been looking forward all summer to my sister visiting from Vermont with my niece. I haven't seen them in 3 years, so I'm very excited. I'll be glad to go back to school at the end of August and get back into my normal routine!

Well, since I don't have kids and September and October can be our hottest months, I don't really get end of summer blahs.

By the end of the summer, I am truly ready to go back to work. I love the anticipation of having new students, seeing old ones, being back with my colleague, and doing what I do third best...teaching!!!! I'm thinking I'm a pretty good teacher, so you can imagine what I am like in my other two things. lol

I generally transition well. I start going into work about one or two days a week in August getting my room ready, writing lesson plans, and other stuff.

I am so nervous for the start of this year. I hope I can do my job and concentrate on what is important there. I was not planning on retiring for about ten years, but now early retirement is looking good. I only have three years to go. Who know. I can take that retirement and get a job in another state. Somebody will hire me.....

I love the Fall. I look forward to it. I love the summer too though and sort of feel a sadness when it is over at first.
I think summer and fall are my favorite times of the year. But then again there is spring.
Since I have gotten older winter is not my favorite time.
I just think of football coming to help me get over the summer and back in to fall mode.
Hugs,

But I am not rushing to get there although it doesn't matter... cause I am not in control of what is to happen seasons wise ....LOL..and I really like this Daylight savings change thing they did.. See, for me, there aren't really any end of summer blahs. I get all excited about my new kids at school and seeing my returning ones (my 7th graders will be my 8th graders this year).

I generally don't get end of summer blahs because I really look forward to school starting and the anticipation of fall and cooler weather. August and October are always hard months for me, though, even though I like fall so much. They seem to be very busy.

I'm somewhat sad about July ending, though. It's been a great month with visits from good friends and a great vacation with family. Work is heating up big time, so I'm sure the next couple of months will fly by.
