Morning Ladies and Gents!

BLAH! I am having a hard time getting back into the swing of things after vacation.

Hi Caly,

So sorry about responding so late. For some reason, I always look forward towards fall, not only because of the trees changing their clothes, but of the coming holidays, Labor Day, Halloween (yes, I know it's not a holiday, but to me it is), etc. But, it's the ending of the year and going into the new one. (I'm rushing time a bit). I'm also looking for the cooler temperatures and seeing more students.

Anyway, I hope things at work clear up for you.

Hugs,

Sebastian

I just came back from vacation too, it was brief, but lots of fun. I had to keep kicking myself back to reality!

The end of summer isn't quite the same here in Florida since it stays pretty hot until at least the middle of October, and we often have beach weather even in December. But the kids do go back to school soon, just like other places, and I think it must be harder for them when it's still hot and sunny and the ocean warm and inviting. Or maybe that's just me remembering my back to school days LOL!

Perhaps I date myself, but the building where I attended in elementary school had no air conditioning so school was let out in May and not resumed until after Labor Day because of the heat. Still, I can remember staring dreamily out the window thinking of playing baseball or going to the beach when I should have been studying history!

Kids don't have quite as much of a summer break anymore, but they have a lot more fall activities than we used to so maybe that would help them to look forward to going back.

It does seem like summer is shorter and shorter. My kids get out in May and start in early August. By the end of July, summer is off my radar and I'm thinking about fall. It's crazy!
