I have 10 piercings in my ears. I have 6 in left ear and 4 in the right. When the big deal was that the right ear only meant you were gay, I never wanted to draw attention to that, so I went the other way. As I tell my students when they ask how many, "Ten, and they are all visible." I have a friend that has her nipples pierced. She said that the pain was intense, but addicting. I can't go there. Nothing else amuses me. I have very small ears, so all my earrings are pretty small. I like them. They make me a little different, but still barely within social norms. I like flirting on the edge without going over.
I have 2 in each ear, but I'd love to get more. I personally though getting my ears pierced hurt more than my tattoo. But, I'm a big baby with a low pain tolerance. I wouldn't ever get my nipple pierced, although I can imagine it would be very intense.
Cripes, it's a small world. My dad moved me out of Detroit to East Bumble Illinois when I was ten. The noise in the country was intense. I was used to street sounds, sirens, etc. The crickets and other critters put up a huge racket. Lol I hadn't ever seen so many stars in my life.
I went from 40 kids in my Catholic School class to 99 kids in the whole school. The fifth and sixth grade were in the same classroom. There were 12 fifth graders and 13 sixth graders. It was truly a culture shock for me. The teacher would teach one grade, give them seat work for 30-45 minutes and then teach us. It was amazing. Every day she would read to us from a fiction book--both classes. Nobody could even relate to this now, unless they were in some kind of special school. Nothing like the public school I teach in.
It is a small world! I lived all over when I was a kid. At first we moved alot because of the military, then because my Mom kept getting married over and over again. I was born in Germany, then moved to Alabama, South Carolina, Maine, Vermont, Texas, Michigan,Texas, Michigan, Maine, Texas, Maine, Vermont, California.
Good God. You win! I was born at Fort Belvoir, VA. Then off of Michigan where both of my parents were from. Then to Il, OH, Camp Hill, Pa, Lionville, Pa. I have lived in 9 houses in this area, some with my parents and some with my dh, including a log cabin that we had built. My parents then moved to SC where my dad left my mom and moved to IL to be with another woman. Then he moved to OH and my mom still lives in SC. One brother lives near her, the other brother in Greenville. Sister lives in NJ, but I don't talk to her much.
I hated moving as a kid, so much so that now as an adult I never want to move. I do think we will move to Oregon someday though, probably when I'm done with school. I have family scattered all over the country.........my Aunt and Grammy in Boston, cousins in Hawaii, 1 sister in Vermont(also my neice), another in New York and the other in New Hampshire along with my nephew. My brother is in Georgia. My Mom is in Texas these days......I haven't seen any of my family in over 3 years. The one thing I want to give my kids someday is more stability when they are little, because I didn't have much.
Already gone to bed? I dozed off on the couch for a bit, woke up and now I'm heading to bed.
Barre.........right next to the capital. My sister still lives there with her daughter. I love Vermont and would have no problem moving back there, but I'd want to live in the Burlington area. It's so gorgeous up there! My ex H and I got married in St. Albans
