I did it, babe. It's a wolf on my right shoulder with yellow eyes. My next tattoo, should all go according to some kind of divine plan will be some sort of pride tattoo. I do have something in mind, though.
I don't have any tattoos and I probably never will; I was in my 30's before I got my ears pierced... I'm a big chicken when it comes to stuff like that although I can sit and watch someone give me a shot or draw blood with no problem. Go figure. I do find them interesting though and can see why people like to get them.
Who knows, maybe I'll get one someday just to say I did. It would probably be a flower or an animal, but I like the celestial ones I've seen too.
Now, Rossebud, don't ever say never. I just turned 53 (yes, I got that it's old, but I don't feel that way whatever THAT means) and just got my first tattoo yesterday. A lot can happen from now until then for you. I didn't get my ears pierced until I was in my mid twenties. Everything in it's own time........
I've seen some I like, but I must admit I don't like those that are covered from head to toe. It seems like a bit much, but to each his/her own I say. Plus it seems like it would be really expensive to get and maintain so many, I know they do fade in time, especially here in sunny Florida.
Also, I think you have to be comfortable with your body to have one, and right now I'm not there. I'm not thin or young and I would have to work up the confidence to go through with it.
I do not like the head to toe thing also, althought I find them intriguing. My tattoo place says that I can come by any time for free color enhancing or touch ups. Yeah, like I can just pop on over to CO whenever the whim strikes me! lol I was out watching a friedn play at an open mike last Tuesday and he brought a young woman with him that fancies herself a poet. She had all the trappings of a young person with angst, mulitple body peircings, hair in dreads, interesting clothing, but the most interesting were her tattoos. Along with various pics, she had her poetry tattooed on her arms, neck, belly, back, and she told me she had one poem that wrapped anoudn her legs. Just amazing.
The young thing neither of us can do anything about, but neither can anybody else. As long as you are on the right side of the grass looking down, it's all good. The fit thing is all a matter of getting started slowly and moving your way along. Even if you don't show immediate physical results, you will feel better, be in a better emotional state because you will have that sense of accomplishment, and really be doing something positive for your health. Hey, you don't have to think that "by next month I'm going to lose 10 pounds." That can be so defeating when you notice that it's not coming off. Then you get pissed at yourself and mostly give up. Think about walking for the pure pleasure of being on the street watching people or on a path with nature. You will be surprised at how you will want to find the time to walk just a little longer or maybe just a little faster.
Take a walk today, hon. Contemplate your attraction to women, clear your head.
Of course you get to see it. It's pretty red and angry right now. Give it a couple of weeks to heal. Even if it was in personal or in a personal place, I wouldn't have any problem sharing it with YOU. lol
I appreciate your thoughts and I agree with you on the "side of the grass" thing, LOL.
I'm actually pretty fit for a big girl, believe it or not. I ride my bike about 5 miles every day and I'm no longer a desk jockey like I used to be when I was a graphics person. Still, there's work to be done and I know it, I just have to get back to place where I'm ready to do it. I do love my beer and I love to cook!
Walking is good exercise, therapeutic and my dog would enjoy it, too!

But, in good time... maybe. :O)
