I remember from elementary school we had these no bake cookie things....they were chocolate with oats and peanut butter and maybe coconut (?). They were awesome and since the lunch lady was a neighbor she would always slip me an extra one.
I loved lunchtime! It was a great opportunity for me to meet up with the "outcasts" of the school and just have fun. It was also, I good time to catch up on any classwork, so I didn't have to do it at home, as homework. But then I also had study hall at some point of the day, to do that. But, lunch time was the best time to (and at the time)to check the girls out. But, I was more interested in my food then just girlwatch.
I don't remember much about the actual food. The only thing I do remember, and this was a memory from my elementary school days, was seeing cockroaches running across the walls nearby where we stood waiting in line just outside the cafeteria door.
When I was first in school my favorite lunch memories are from bringing lunch from home.I had a metal snoopy and woodstock lunch box with a thermos. I LOVED carrying my lunchbox and refused to eat school lunch for a long time! When we lived in Texas I loved frito bags. They would open a bag of fritos, ladle in chili with cheese! Yummmmmm!
Cute question! It gets me excited to think school is about to start up again!
I remember I was the only one who liked spinach. My friends would pile all their spinach on my tray, yum-o. We also had alot of fun on lunch break. Just hanging out with friends. Hugs, Laurie

We've got another week here... I'm not any more ready for it to start back up than I was for the last year to end.

I guess my appetite suffered.
My favorite school lunch memory was that our school would sometimes have cinnamon rolls.
