softball game. So I went last night. My ds was feeling a bit better, so I allowed myself some fun. Oh the sweet sound of that first ball hitting a leather glove-just sent tingles down my spine. And the ping of the bats and all the calls "full count", "let's rally", "nice butt"-oh wait-that was in my head. Sorry.

Anyway, it was nice to sit anonymously and watch the ladies play. I remember the comradery so well and longed for those days. The crowd was small, so I'm sure there were some people wondering who I was. Maybe I'll keep going and make some friends-who knows.

The blue behind the plate was not nearly as sexy as our Blue. Middle-aged, pot-bellied guy. The field was right in the landing path of planes coming into San Jose International and very near-so landing gear was down and everything. I think I breathed into a bit too much fuel-maybe added to the excitement-who knows. I'll take whatever I can get.

I'm slowly making my way into the community-I hope. I don't want it to feel forced or contrived. I need some friends and hopefully that will happen soon.

Oh-and I bought Curve magazine yesterday and openly read it at the gym. Just thought I'd test my own comfort level. Fun magazine.

Hugs,

Amy

I know that. I reread my post to you and it does appear to be a little testy. I'm sorry.
Of course you had the most hits and home runs. Your the catcher. That is part of your role. All good catchers hit the long ball. I envy that. Me? Just a piddling hitter. That's why I bat lead off or second, get on base, and wait for you to power me home batting in the clean up position. Right???

Have a great day. Check in later.

Hugs

Hey Blue, no need to be sorry.
Yeah I tended to bat clean up. I could place hit too, anywhere I want that ball to go.
I miss being able to play but my knee has to be replaced.

As in REPLACED? The whole thing? Wow, a little early in life for that. I see possible hip and knee replacement, but not for a long time.

Yes, the whole thing needs replaced. I am so afraid to have it done due to my lungs not doing well whenever I go under.
But right now the pain is so bad I don't really care. I just want it fixed.
And yes it iss early in life for that, that is why I have been avoiding it.
Hip and knee replacement, omg sounds awfull.
Take care,
Laurie

Nah, by the time I actually get around to really needing it, I'm thinking it will be an easy procedure with quick rehab. At leas that is what I am holding out for! lol
