Hoping to return to the board

Hello Everyone! Sometime ago I used to visit the board. I hope to join in on the discussions more frequently again. I also visit the fiction board and the Christian Bookshelf.

I have many favorite authors, John Grisham being my #1. I like to read books of a series. I was recently introduced to Stuart Woods Orchid Beach. I really enjoyed it. It was the first in a series.

Any more suggestions? Not necessarily series books.

Does the board still choose a book to read and discuss?

Carrie,

Have you tried any of Deborah Crombie. The first in the series is A Share in Death.

This group does do a group read and right now we are going through the alphabet and are up to N. The Eight by Katherine Neville was picked and then it was decided it was too long of a book and so Barbara Neeley was picked. But it really seems to have died and I think maybe the reason is that no one is liking the book. It may be that we need to move on to another.

I agree - what is it with series mysteries?

I am reading Stephen White. Of course I have read all of Marcia Muller, Janet Evanovich, Sue Grafton, Jonathan Kellerman, John Sanford. I just picked up some Ridley Pearson books today...I hope they'll be great as well.
