don't read if graphic descriptions bother you. i am not doing well today and this is cut and paste from the miscarriage board.
i haven't spoken to the dr yet, so this is what my DH said they spoke about after my surgery. i was out of it from the anesthesia.
first of all, they found *something* in there, which is being sent off to a lab to identify. pretty bad when a dr with that much experience takes a look and says *what the heck is that?* it was black in color, infected, and showed evidence of growth. interesting...i guess. i am curious to find out what that means, it'll be next week before we hear anything.
another problem i am having...
i only have 1 ovary, since oct 03 when my right one was removed (i had a lot of problems even back then, just not THIS many problems!). anyway, i have pics. the right tube appears shrunken and shriveled, nasty really. i guess they should have removed it but they didn't want to make this worse. the left ovary looks very big to my eyes, the tube all stretched long, made more apparent by the gross right side. the left ovary isn't *anchored* anymore, it shifts around in there and has several inches of room to play. isn't that weird, and isn't that somehow WRONG? how is that even possible? i asked DH if he was just trying to screw with my drugged mind, but nope that wasn't the case! the dr said we are to decide if we are having any more kids. if so, after i give birth (assuming i can carry to term, another big IF), they will have to tie me off and remove the ovary to stop further pain and damage. GGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
basically i am to live with this 'discomfort' and 'pain', nothing to be done about it, on the off chance i can still have a child - which we don't even know! yes i want to cry but i hurt too much today to even think about it.
that's my story, i hope it wasn't TMI.
