Ladies you're probably going to be on your own. The surgeon gave me colace, If you don't know what it is, it is a very potent laxative. I have to drink 4000ml or 16 glasses in 3hrs! She gave me an anti nausea med to help w/ that because I really need to get it all in and keep it in. If it works I'm going to be visiting the bathroom quite often so I might not be at the chat tonight. I'll really try to at least stop in, I'm going to start the drinking in 25 minutes, she told me to give the anti nausea med 30 minutes to start working \before I start drinking. If this doesn't work then I will go back to see her and she'll probably call in a GI dr to see what we will do next but I have a feeling this stuff is going to work. Wish me luck, we only have 1 bathroom in the house, lol.

Sending P&PT's your way, Danielle. This sounds very unpleasant. We only have one bathroom & I know what that's like when my IBS flares up. I sure hope this treatment works. Sounds powerful enough.

I will try very hard to be in chat around 10 pm. I have another obligation that I just can't get out of. Drats! (((hugs))) jan

I tell you Jan, I don't know how I"m supposed to drink all of this stuff. I have about 90 min left until I have to finish it and i'm only 1/2 way through and trying so hard not to vomit. This stuff is HORRIBLE!

Danielle

I know it's tough, Danielle. Give yourself a little breather. Then, start again. Remember you need this amount of fluid for the fluid exchange in your body, to help the med work effectively & to prevent dehydration. Gotta hang in there, gf. We are here for ya! (((hugs))) jan

I wonder why they didn't give you the colace tabs? I can't imagine drinking all that colace! My heart goes out to you! When I had my colonoscopy I had to drink some stuff called go lightly! What a joke! It was more like go constantly! The hospital called to ask why I was late - gees, I couldn't get out of the bathroom! lol! Good luck!

I've heard of that "go lightly" and thought what a joke of a name for somethintg like that.

I'm hanging in barely, I'm 2hrs in and about 1/2 way through the jug. It's not easy anymore because its making me really nauseated and I'm not supposed to take another nausea pill until 8pm so I still have 90 min before I can take another, wish I could just take it now but I don't know much about the drug and don't want to OD on it.

This stuff is gross, why can't they make the gross stuff taste good, darn, they make penicillin in bubble gum flavor, that would be nice about now ; p
