First of all let me introduce myself. My name is Robyn and I'm 29 y/o. I have been suffering with anxiety/panic attackers for about 12 years, on and off. I have been on several meds but haven't taken them in years. Now I'm back to the worst my anxiety has ever been. Lots of things going on in my life and I feel like I'm totally out of control. Do any of you have any tips on how to deal until I can get in to see my Dr. I have some lorzapan and some xanax that I have had to use several times the last few days, but I would like to get back on Buspar that seemed like the only thing that helped me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I meditate daily which is very helpful. Then when I panic, I begin to concentrate on good breathing habits & think positive thoughts. Over time, I have become better skilled, but occ. I have a real blow up & need to call a friend or let go & allow the fears to pass through me. Lots of ppl on our board use exercise, games, hobbies, yoga, relaxation, hypnotherapy, massage & a new member is trying accupuncture. Perhaps you can try these methods & find ones that will work for you. Besides posting any questions or concerns on the board, please consider joining us in chat. There's alot of helpful sharing of coping skills by our folks.
Buspar is a good med that has been used successfully. I hope you get to the dr. soon. Let us know how things work out. We care about you & want to hear that you are regaining some control in your life. You deserve it! Good luck & GBU! (((hugs))) jan
Here's the site I use, Robyn. It will help you along. It's good that you can read what will be used beforehand, so you know that it concurs with your beliefs.

i don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet (having not read all the replies) but there is a great miscarriage support board here on ivillage. i have it bookmarked so i will share the link. the ladies are wonderful and understanding and can really help you handle the grief. many are in the same boat, dealing with infertility and loss. i just had 2 m/c myself, and my 5th surgery was nearly 2 wks ago (a complete hysterectomy) as that was all that was left for me. i am just thankful i have my 2 yr old son, he is such a blessing and has been great for helping me heal. please visit them and tell them your story, they will be glad to offer support and tips on handling your grief. i also suffer from severe anxiety and several attacks a day, recently brought on by my miscarriages and surgeries and fear of losing even more. i feel your pain! here is that link:
