HOW DO YOU BREATHE RIGHT?

I know taking deep breaths is great for anxiety. But I can't take deep breaths all day, it gets annoying. I tend to hold my breathing in throughout the day, I can't explain it but I know my breathing is not right, I feel like I'm holding everything in. I listened to a tape and followed the woman's voice for breathing exercises and felt soooo relaxed but I was laying down alone and comfortable and quiet. How do I work on breathing while sitting in an office at my desk with people around? Any suggestions on what to do throughout the day for breathing exercises while being active?

Also, am I weird, when I am outside, I feel self conscious like people are looking at me. I'm big (not obese) but I am very self conscious about my weight (I had a baby 7 months ago and haven;t lost the weight, I'm trying though. Does anyone feel self conscious outside?

Thanks.

Hi Jan, good memory on my name. Thanks for the laugh at not breathing in too much. I'll keep listening to that tape and practicing thru the day. Something so normal as breathing, it's hard to think I actually have to learn it, lol. thanks for the weight loss website, I'll check it out. It doesn't do much for my self esteem that I work at a college and now that the weather is nice, all of the young skinny girls with their skirts and tanks are surrounding me on campus. Just wait til they have a baby, haha. I think the same way, would prefer winter all year just to stay in my bulky clothes. Have a great night.
