Well after talking with some of you in the chat last night I took 1/4 of a Klonopin this morning. I felt a little better, but not great and I felt kind of like I was in a fog. Will this go away? I took the 1/4 of a pill at about 10:30 this morning and by 6pm I was feeling bad agian. Is this right? It is 7:30 now and I just took another 1/4 of a pill. Will see what happens. Does Klonopin work better over time?

It was also suggested that I try taking Claritin. My husband just bought some and I was thinking about taking it before I go to bed. Is that okay or are you spose to take it in the morning?

Thanks for the help!

Hi Judy -

The dizziness is still there some but not as bad. It is a little hard to tell if I am still dizzy or if it is just the foggy feeling. I am thinking that I have mild dizziness from the allergies but the anxiety is making it worse. I guess I will find out after taking the Clariten for a few days.

Hi its Bee we talked thur nite and I also take clonazepam. It takes some time before it'll really work or until you see a big difference, it has to get into your system first, so after a week or so you feel much better and the fogginess will also disappear. I hope the Clariton works for you also, let us know how you feel after taking it, I just might try it also, so long as there are no side effects. I also take only 1/4 of a tab of clonazepam so when you think about it , it is a very small amount , mine are 0.5mg and i take 1/4 tab 3 times aday so that's only 1 1/2 tab per day, that amount has worked for me the last 6mths. Good luck with it and keep us updated.

Well I took 1/4 of a Klonopin twice yesterday and felt ok but last night and this morning I have a bit of stomach pain. Do you think that is the Klonopin or maybe just something I ate. Today I also feel very tired and just run down. I have not taken the Klonopin yet today but maybe it is still in my system.

I will let you know how it goes with the Claritin.

Hi, Sarah! I remember you from taking the klonopin in chat. I may have forgotten to tell you that. I am glad you are trying it again, as it is a useful & helpful drug for many of us. On the very small dose you're taking, it would seem to me that it would NOT cause stomach pain. But, I am NOT a dr. either & we all have different side effects to the meds. If I had stomach pain after taking a new med, I would think it was just my anxiety. I get really nerved up about stuff & always battle a stomach ailment when I get too anxious. Usually using a new med takes about a week to work the kinks out. If you still have stomach pain in a week, then I would call the dr. If it becomes a pain that you just can't stand, I would call the dr. even sooner. I am keeping my fingers & toes crossed that you get some relief from the klonopin, so you can get rid of this dizziness & get on with the business of living. Good weather has arrived & you deserve to enjoy it! HTH Sending P&PT's. (((hugs))) jan

Hi again its Bee, just read your post and Jan's, and she answered all your question's, because I would of said almost the same as her, LOL she just say's it better. I am not a Doctor and like everyone says all meds are different for everyone , but my doc told me it is best to take the clonazepam on a regular basis and try to take it the same time everyday, to get the best results from it, I've heard some people saw that they only take it as they need it, I take mine everyday and it has helped me. As far as the stomache pain I'm in agreement with Jan , this was not a side effect for me, and I've found that I get alot more stomach pain since the anxiety has come back, due to stress mainly, different foods seem to irrtate me more now , and I'm not as regular, so this may be the cause with you. Just hang in there as it does take time and it takes time for your body to adjust to the new med, the run down feeling and the tiriness will go away, plus with anxiety these are systems also, anxiety takes alot out of you , all the worry and stress is hard on our bodies. Take Care and please keep us updated!
