I got the same thing, too! Funny... if we all have the life of leisure, why are we all so stressed, lol!

Just Say No
You are giving knee-jerk reactions to requests for your time. Analyze whether this is because you have such a hard time saying no, try to keep up with your coworkers or other family members, or just have a foggy idea of how much time your existing commitments require. Take small steps, such as saying no to telemarketers or people peddling products outside the grocery store. Practice makes it easier.
Triggers for overcommitting vary from person to person. For some women, "old tapes" from childhood are the root cause. You don't want to displease a parent, a favorite aunt, a grandmother, a teacher. So you always say yes to certain people, whatever the request.
For others, it's a false sense of their schedule -- a trigger that might be more easily fixed than the need to please authority figures. Simply writing down your schedule or figuring out how many hours you really do have as disposable time in a day can help you say no when you need to.
Keeping up with that dynamo neighbor or coworker can be another trigger that's hard to break -- but is liberating when you do. Focus not on how much you do, but on the importance of the tasks and how they fulfill your life goals.
