Hi All
I went to see my tdoc earlier today. Of course I started in on her asking her again why I am not depersonalized and all this stuff. I drive her crazy thinking that their is so much more wrong with me.

Anyway we started talking about when I saw my PCP and she said that I have allergies. Well my tdoc thinks that allergies has a lot to do with how I feel, she said that allergies are awful.

My PCP gave me nasonex and I am such a baby that I have ben afraid to take it. My tjdoc said that I should've brought and done it there. I didn;t even think about that.

Anyway it got me thinking and I went to the nasonex website to look up allergy symptoms... here is what I found out as far as symptoms go...

---Absentmindedness. Sometimes your symptoms make it hard to focus, and you find yourself going over and over the same ground.

---Lethargy. You just don't seem to care. You have a general sense of discomfort because of your allergy symptoms. You can't concentrate on work when you don't feel well and when you can't concentrate on work, you feel guilty. You feel caught in a vicious cycle.

---General feeling of discontent. When allergies kick in, it doesn't take much to set you off. You feel disconnected with no apparent cause, which in reality may be due to allergic rhinitis.

---Sleep difficulties. Nasal stuffiness, headache and general discomfort make it hard for you to fall asleep or stay asleep. This fatigue accounts for a lot of your difficulties.

---Distraction. Things and facts just don't "stick" when your mind is on your eyes, nose, and throat.

---Not yourself. Your allergies make you feel terrible, so you act poorly.
Difficulty socializing. You can't seem to get up the energy to go out with friends.

They even used the word "DISCONNECTED" Geeze I'm screwed either way here. It would make a little sense though, dh gets cluster migraines at the change if seasons and he has them now, it may makes sense I suppose.

I am going to the pdoc at 4:30 and he has a PhD so he should be quite knowledgeable in the area..

Thx for sharing, Heather. I have allergies but not as severe. I do know that when my sinuses are congested, I feel woozy & potentially I could panic just from worry about that feeling. I don't handle any feelings/sensations that are out of the norm for me. Good luck! (((hugs))) jan

Heather,

I've used Nasonex in the past and didn't like it. I don't like Flownaise (sp) either, that stuff smells like flowers, it's horrible. I take claratin every day for my allergies and I've never had any adverse side effects from it so maybe that might be the answer for you. I also really like Allegra but the base doesn't carry it anymore, if I had a choice that's what I would take.

Good Luck to you, Hope you get some answers.

Hugs & Prayers,

Danielle

Hi Danielle,
Did you have any of the symptoms listed?
Today I feel out of it and my head is huge, like I saud my tdoc things that my alleries are playing a part in this feeling.
I did check the pollen allert and it is HIGH today, I suppose it makes sense.

I also hate the smell of Flonase - that sweet rose smell, but I have to say that it really helps me and this is particularly important becuase I travel a lot in the spring. So - my allergies are worse now than they used to be because I am in DC for a lot of the spring and flying messes up my sinuses.

But the Flonase really helps me so I guess it depends on the person...
