Ok, another question about klonopin..

I really am sorry to all of you because I can't stop asking questions..
About the klonopin, I really am thinking of taking it tomorrow.
Dh is going away next week and I'm scared about that.
I just wonder though, I am not feeling very anxious, I just have that awful out of reality feeling. Will it still work for me even though I feel calm just out of it...KWIM?
Again I know that I am posting all the time, I am sorry about that. This is all so new to me and I have nowhere else to go for andvie and answers. My friends and family are so great but they don't really know how this feels or how awful it is.
Thank you!!!
heather

Heather, that's why you have a prescription.

I don't mind answering your questions, Heather. I have been in your posistion & it's awful to be so anxious & frightened that you need that reassurance. You need to get things *nailed down.* We have all been there & want to help you through this.
I survived klonopin! Honest, to Betsy, it truly helps that scary unreal feeling. Regardless if you're having anxiety or not. It doesn't put you out like a sleeping pill. It doesn't change your thinking in any way. It relaxes you, but not so much that you feel afraid or think you need to fight to hold on. In fact, other than a bit of sleepiness @ first, I don't think you'll feel anything @ all. It will occur to you after a couple of doses that you aren't as acutely aware of the anxiety & the unreal feeling. That will be such a relief to you. I hope that I have explained it ok. It's hard to find words to describe something that really isn't a describable feeling. I'm not even sure that's a word:)
