What are your tips for 'Blue Days'

Hi, I am having a 'blue day' for some reason, and just don't feel very happy, and have no energy! It probably doesn't help that I pinched a nerve in my back, and have slept most of the day (Uping my med is having more of a side effect than usual, I am trying to overcome it....Up All Night, Sleep all day!) And it is a dreary day here in the Pac NW...Not sunny, not rainy, just overcast and blah! (I would prefer it to rain rather than be yucky overcast!)
So my question to you gals is what do you do to help improve your 'Blue Day'???
And get some energy going? (both positive mentally and physically)
Thanx gals! Hope your day is happy and sunny where you are! hugs, shasta

I keep a twenty dollar bill for *mad money* in the bottom of my purse. Then, when the blues hit, I buy a little something for me. That way I don't spend money I don't have or have to steal from the household expense fund. LOL I had a *blue day* a couple weeks ago & bought a pricey candle for a song @ one of those trendy mall shops that I can never afford. It's coconut scented & a little bit of heaven when lit. Wish I could share it with you, Shasta! Here's another one! I do something for *us* that normally I would do for company. I made fruit salads, using that Pampered Chef melon baller that I could've lived without! Sliced apples really thin, cleaned strawberries & blueberries. Threw them all in these colored glass ice cream dishes on stems(I didn't need those either, for goodness sake's) & put a bit of sugar in some lemon flavored yogurt for topping. The kids said they were 10 times as good as the ones Wendy's & McDonald's sell. I served them for free, BTW:) Sorry to hear about your back. Get better soon so we can get our exercise program going! (((hugs))) jan

Shasta,

I have the following suggestions for blue days:

1) Take a hot bath with bubbles.
2) Distract yourself with a good book.
3) Listen to some nice relaxing music.
4) Take a nap.

I hope you are doing better.

I think a great thing to do is curl up on the couch and watch a chick flick like Pretty Woman, St. Elmo's Fire or something like that.
