2 really good days! Just had to share!

Hi gals!I just had to share! I am having a really good two days! First of all, it is absolutely gorgeous here...It has been in the mid-80's the last couple of days, and for Oregon, that is quite unusual-But it has really done wonders for my spirits...Yesterday, I went to 2 garden centers for about 1 1/2 hours...Today, I went the farthest from home since Christmas, it was only 6 miles, but I did it all by myself, to the very crowded Wal-Mart, then I also went grocery shopping! I was also gone from home about an hour and a half...I got to spend money we dont have too! hee hee! I feel so good! I know it sounds so cheesy, but I am celebrating! If I can keep this up, I may try to go off the Xanax, I hope my mood stays...I had such a down week last week...But these last two days have just made me so happpy! I just had to share a mini-success story! :0D
I hope you have a safe and nice 3day weekend. hugs! shasta

Congrats! :) It's been really nice here, too. How ironic, I went to Wal-Mart as well, and yeah, it was crowded too. Didn't find everything I wanted, though (couldn't find body pillows). :)
Have a good weekend!!

p.s. Hey Kendra, Did you get my last email? So good to see you posting on the board!
You will definitely have to give everyone an 'update'! ;0P
Oh my gosh, Jan! I didn't think anyone would remember me! Sorry to have been away for so long.
Let's see, an update ... I'll keep this abridged and say that Alex and I moved to Manassas, Virginia, last fall, for a job he took that has INSURANCE (YES!!). I don't have many friends up here (I get along all right w/his guy friends, though). I'm trying to connect with folks through a church group and knitting guild, and maybe some long-distance connections (elsewhere in the state). I hit rock-bottom right before the move and had a deep depression/anxiety. It was bad, probably the worst ever. But I got past it, got off the meds and am not doing too shabby. My baby seems to agree (yes, I am four months pregnant!).
I have written some greeting cards from home, but mainly I do general transcription as an independent contractor. It took me a while to get up the gusto to work at all. I thought I'd be happy just not working, but I enjoy the stimulation, and the money always helps.
I still have "stuff," which I'm dealing with in therapy. I'm starting group counseling soon and just really looking to connect. It's tough being up here; I don't think that part will change.
I read self-help and baby/pregancy/parenting books, knit, and goof around on the computer. Oh yes, and I e-mail Ms. Shasta regularly. ;)
Jan, I'm glad to see you're still on this board. I'll catch up on some of the posts and see where everyone is at. Are people still chatting online?
Take care, and many hugs to you all. :)
