Do hobbies make you anxious?

I mean anxious in a frustrating way. I love to knit, and I had just started this new, supposedly quick pattern, which ended up not working out. Something just didn't add up. So after pulling it out for the second time, I just put my head down and almost cried--but I didn't. I used to. I used to get so frustrated that I'd be in tears, and my poor husband would wonder why on Earth I'd bother with yarn if it frustrated me so. Well, I like a good challenge. I don't like to be bored.

Anyway, I decided to continue working on another project I had started. Of course, I hate that I wasted time on the dishcloth that didn't work. I'll probably tackle it tomorrow. I'm sure my eyes just weren't following the directions closely.

Any hobbies that frustrate you? Sewing? Scrapbooking? Painting? Anything??

Well, I just got stung by a mosquito, so I guess that's my cue to end this post! :) Ow.

Yep, I've had some "hobbies" frustrate me and they did not become my hobbies.

I have to agree with what Suz had to say. I could never be a scrapbooker:) For the rest of my life, please feel free to go through my boxes & manila envelopes to gander @ my pictures. I love to collect recipes, so if you want to find a good one, you will have to do the same. I don't even have a manila envelope with *cakes* written on it. LOL But, I love to crochet, embroider & of late, decorate with seashells. I am a master hot glue gunner! I have had difficult patterns to follow & had to rip out parts that I did wrong. Back before I had my OCD under control, I would re-start the project or throw it down in disgust. I am a perfectionist by nature. Somewhere along the line, I learned that a little mistake would hardly be noticed & my friends or family would be so happy with my project that it didn't matter. Maybe it comes with old age, Kendra:) Maybe you're just having a bad day. Wishing you success with that dishcloth! (((hugs))) jan
