Hi I just wanted to share with everyone my CAT SCAN I had 3 weeks ago was FINE!!
Now knowing I have panic disoder wouldn't you think this insensitive doctor could tell me this before the scope test??? NOPE!!
I had the scope test and was informed after the test that the c scan was OK and the scope showed that I am "dried out" from the lack of estrogen!! NO KIDDING!!! I was totally
aggravated and wanted to throw something at this IDIOT! he prescribed a hormone cream--
now if I wanted to take ESTROGEN and risk CANCER I would have done so YEARS AGO!!
How in heaven's name does this relate to urinary infections???? Totally disgusted with
DOCTORS!!!
I am relieved that nothing was shown on the C SCAN BUT ANNOYED to have to go through all this so he can make his living!!!! AMEN!! Judy

That is truly good news about the CT scan. I know we were all worried. As for the *cream* for dryness, that sounds a little dismissive & I am sorry about that. Do you still see your gyne? If so, I would check out what he has to say about using the cream. It may not have the cancer risk that pills or shots have. I do know women that it worked for. That's in the past tense for a reason. They used it temporarily to make adjustments to their new body after menopause. Then discontinued it. Also, there are some really good OTC liquid moisturizers for us women that are really great. Replens is one that comes to mind. Also, KY has come out with a lotion that *warms* after you put it on & even the youngsters find this helpful(; I know you're uncomfortable, Judy & I hope you can get some relief soon. For now, I can only say how happy I am that you are going to be around for a long, long time! & that's a good thing, gf:) (((hugs))) jan

I'm so glad your test results were okay. On a lighter note, I was watching a talk show and one of the ladies said she used her cream on the wrinkles on her face & it did wonders! lol!

Hi again Judy! I am so glad your test came out fine. You know, I can TOTALLY understand your frustration with this doctor, sometimes it feels as tho they put you thru tests, or refer you to another dr just to make a buck, and as someone that has been through the ringer for every kidney, bladder and female problem test I can think of, I can understand how you feel. I finally gave up because after 36 years of tests, they still can't help me much...I am on a self-cath program, due to nerve damage in my bladder, and always will be so I know all about the bladder/kidney infections, not fun! I hope you get to feeln well soon. I know you must be very uncomfortable. I have been thinking of trying the KY warming that Jan suggested too! Maybe even for the fun part she hinted at ;0)
And guess what, I heard an ad where you can get a free sample so here's the link!

Hope this might give you some relief! hugs, shasta

Judy,
I'm so happy that your test was okay! I second the idea that you should ask your doctor about the cream. Even though doctors can be a pain, I bet you are still relieved the test is over. I'm supposed to go for a sonogram when I get insurance again, to check for some problems, but it is a major anxiety-producer. I am sooo afraid of them, because you have to drink so much water and, well it's hard to explain, but I don't like medical tests either!
