The Weirdest feeling...

Ok the weirdest thing happened to me today, and Im going to say it was anxiety related, but it was so weird I just dont understand it!

I had just finished running, and was going to get a drink of water. I was walking to these doors, when all of a sudden, the doors weren't getting any closer! No matter how fast I walked to the doors, it was like I was in a bad dream and couldn't reach the doors! I got scared and closed my eyes and grabbed the walls, and when i opened my eyes I was at the door? It was SO WEIRD. It felt like my brain was a broken record that was skipping and that I couldn't get to the freakin door!

Today is my second day of upping my dose of lexapro so I wonder was this from that?! Then I thought maybe it was from running, but now it has been happening on an off, walking to the car, looking at a plant, etc. it scares the crap out of me---anyone ever experienced this?

I just started Lexapro last Thursday and I have had the exact same feeling. It's sort of like feeling dizzy, but not really. You just feel detached from everything and not all "there".

I just automatically assumed it was a side effect from the medication, along with nausea, loss of appetite and trouble sleeping. I feel eerily more aware of things going on all around me right now. So since we're both feeling sort of the same way, I assume it must be a side effect of changing your dose.

Maybe you should call your doctor just to ask? Or see what it says on here www.lexapro.com

It sounds to me that the feeling you are both describing is the "unreal" disconnected

There are all sorts of reactions people have
to anxiety as well as medications! Do not feel bad about
these reactions--- but I would talk to your doctor about
them. It is probably nothing to worry about but I would
tell him/her just to be sure they know!
Take care, Judy

FWIW, Katie, I have had this feeling for years. That's why I have so much trouble with tunnels & bridges. I just feel as if I am NOT getting any closer to the end. I look ahead & I see miles to endure. I look behind & see miles to go back, if I should turn around. It's scary. I started breaking things down a few years ago & that really helps. Instead of looking to the end of the tunnel, I pick a point fairly close & get to it. Then, pick another point just a small distance ahead & reach it. Just keep doing the small distances till
