I am so sick, I have a achy body that is almost unbreable and I have a temp. of 101.5. I want to take tylenol pm but i don't know if I can.

I need to bring this fever down but I am already too cold to get out of bed. I have a call in to my pdoc but I was wondering what you all have done.

I already took some Zycam and my usual meds are klonopin and lexapro.

Thank you all

I just tyoed a long message and lost it...

anyway the Dr didn;t call so dh called ask a nurse and they said that it was ok to take tylenol. I took two about 20 minutes ago but I am scared now because its time to take my lexapro. She said not to take any PM med with klonopin.

Oh, Heather, so sorry you're sick! Didn't the boys have strep? You might need an antibiotic if you have it. I take tylenol & have never had a problem. I take advil migraine & motrin without problems, also. Did you go to pdoc today? Probably not. I hope you're feeling better tomorrow. Stay in bed & get lots of rest. Your body needs it. And like I said before, if you're feeling more anxious, it's just your body's response to being sick, that's normal anxiety. It's not a set-back! Pls keep in touch. P&PT's ....

I know that its normal to have anxiety when your sick but my heart feels like its coming out my chest? Could that be from the fever or is that anxiety? Thats not a normal anxiety sign for me.

Also I took the tylenol at 6:30 and the lexapro at 7:15.. would I know already if I was going to have a reaction? I am so scared of that.

Thanks Girls

Oh yeah my fever is down to 100.1 a good sign...

I think it's the anxiety and your body's reaction to the added stress. Just rest & drink lots of fluids (gatorade is good, or water). I've never heard of a reaction to the tylenol as you've described. I really think it's just worry. Take care. We're here if you need us!

Heather,

First, (((((hugs!)))))

It is normal for your heart to race or pound when you have a fever. Like Sheri Ann said, make sure you keep up the fluids. I don't think there would be a reaction with plain Tylenol and the anxiety med.

Okay, I have to edit this portion of my post. I just re-read where you said you were told not to take Tylenol PM with the klonopin. So, the same must go with my xanax. I'm glad I know that now!

Please take care of yourself, and let us know how you are doing!

Renee

((((Heather)))) That's a shame that mom's down sick with the fellas): Man, that isn't fair! I agree with the nurse & would follow her advice. The tylenol pm has another ingredient in it that might not agree with your lexapro. Plain tylenol is ok. I also think Sheri Ann has a point. You may very well need an antibiotic if this is strep. Don't put off calling your medical dr. Good luck & GBU! (((hugs))) jan
