Hey gals! Guess what??? I made it across the bridge and to Old Navy today!!!! YAHOOOOO!
I am such excited and happy. At first I didn't know if I could make it...(thank goodness for Xanax! LoLl!) I am just ecstatic. I know some ppl might think I am silly for being excited but I can't help myself! Then after going to ON, I drove to the other side of town, back over the bridge, and to the bottle return at the grocery store. Then I shopped a little at the store (I even witnessed a guy scamming 2 big half racks of beers! He just picked them up and walked right out the front door with them...I told a couple ppl that worked in the store, but no one seemed to care...weird! Oh well, I tried! LOL)So by the time I got home I was gone another two hours! I feel so good, just wanted to share. Thanx for letting me toot my horn! TOOT TOOT! :0D
I hope you guys are all having a good day, Let me know how you are doing and how your day has been too! hugs, shasta

Shasta,

Wooohooo! That's great! Thanks for sharing! What did you buy at Old Navy? That is SO weird that no one cared about that guy in the store ripping off beer!

I'm sad because my hamster is very sick. But my husband had an interview, so that's good. We're hoping...

Somehow I had a feeling you'd made the trek over the bridge this week. I'm so happy for you! Isn't driving so freeing? I'm glad the Xanax didn't affect your drive, but I would be concerned that my reaction time would be slower. I guess everyone is different, and if you were already antsy, then it would be all right. :) Yay!! I hope you bought yourself something nice as a reward!

I'm doing all right--just sitting here waiting for work. The more hours I am signed in, the higher priority I am on the scheduling scale. Long story, but yeah. Dinner was good--took some leftover salmon and cut it up into a nice salad. Then I minced garlic and put that w/margarine for garlic bread. I even folded laundry. I'll have to explain my issues with laundry. I'm trying to be better at keeping up with everything once a week, just for when I have my child. :)

Anyhoo ... enjoy your evening. You deserve it. :)

At least I know I'm not the only one who is afraid of bridges on here! Whew! The worst in the Peace Bridge to Canada. AAAA!

That's NOT just the bridge. That's the bumper to bumper traffic that scares the heck out of me & those ppl who check you & your car as if you're a fugitive from a chain gang or something. It all adds up to one scary experience for me, Renee! I will think of you on our yearly trek to Niagara Falls. We cross @ Buffalo & I think that's the Rainbow Bridge. I'll just tell myself that if snickybun can do it, so can I! (((hugs))) jan

Oh gawd, Buffalo freeway traffic - I HATE it. Grew up there. But, isn't the falls lovely? We like to picnic on the river. Have you ever been on the Maid of the Mist, or gone on the walk behind the falls? Hmmm. Now I want to go there. But not over the bridge!

HEY GALS! I JUST WANT TO THANK YOU SOOO MUCH for all of your post's of support and encouragement. You guys are what really helped me today. I kept telling myself on the drive 'Just think of how thrilled you will be once you accomplish this, and can go home and post to your friends here at the board'
And believe me, that was the very first thing I did when I got home from my adventure.
Thanks so much you guys, I don't know if I could have done it with your constant unconditional friendship, support and encouragement...
Oh Kendra-BTW, I have never really took the Xanax doses that was prescribed to me...It made me so tired! Usually I take 1/4 of a .5mg pill 3 times a day, spaced out. I cut them into quarters...I know I am weird! But it does take the edge off...Today I probably ended up taking the entire .5mg throughout the morning, and afternoon,So I think I do ok with it. Plus-I pay really good attention when I go out, it would probably send me into a major P/a if I were to get into an accident! LOL! I am just so happy to be getting out and about! You are so right, it is so freeing! :0D
I appreciate everyone here, and thanx again so much! I wish you all the best too, and look forward to hearing about your success stories! BIG HUG! shasta
