Hey gals! Guess what??? I made it across the bridge and to Old Navy today!!!! YAHOOOOO!
I am such excited and happy. At first I didn't know if I could make it...(thank goodness for Xanax! LoLl!) I am just ecstatic. I know some ppl might think I am silly for being excited but I can't help myself! Then after going to ON, I drove to the other side of town, back over the bridge, and to the bottle return at the grocery store. Then I shopped a little at the store (I even witnessed a guy scamming 2 big half racks of beers! He just picked them up and walked right out the front door with them...I told a couple ppl that worked in the store, but no one seemed to care...weird! Oh well, I tried! LOL)So by the time I got home I was gone another two hours! I feel so good, just wanted to share. Thanx for letting me toot my horn! TOOT TOOT! :0D
I hope you guys are all having a good day, Let me know how you are doing and how your day has been too! hugs, shasta

Shasta,

That's what I take, too. I have .25 mg tablets, and I take half a one.

The Falls is my favorite place on earth! I have been on the Maid many times, as well as visited the tunnels behind the Falls & though I did it in the past(don't think I could now) rode the Spanish aerocar over the whirlpool. That's a trip! As for the traffic, I usually start from home about 6pm, miss all the rush hour & get to the Falls in time for bed. I am only 4 1/2 hours away:) I do so much better driving long distance & in heavy traffic when I have my kids with me. We always plan for 3 days. There's too much to see in just a day! (((hugs))) jan P.S. I have friends in Brantford, On. & we spend a day with them.

Shasta,

That is the most AMAZING news! I am SO happy to hear that you did it.

In the beginning for me I was so afraid to go out of the house so the one night that I did go grocery shopping I felt so proud of myself.

Good for you and keep it up! So what did you buy at Old Navy? We just got one at our local mall, I used to have to drive 25 minutes to get to one. Makes it A LOT easier on me.

Hey gals! A couple of you asked what a bought at Old Navy, and here is what I got....
2 pairs of cute shorts (altho they aren't the size I wanted! hee hee!) 5 tanks(4bucks a piece, what a deal!) A bikini top for me to wear in private to get some sun! And a men's tshirt. It has a cat on it, and says something like 'Black Cat Beer & Ales' I just had to have it because of the cute cat on it! I really splurged on myself! I even bought myself some new unders (thongs)the day before! My dh may be regreting me getting out of the house here shortly, the way I have been spending money lately! hee hee!
I hope you all are doing great and having a great day! hugs, shasta

I'm thinking of taking the medical transcription course. Do you like it? I just worry I won't get alot of work. Did you take a course?

Oh, I do general transcription, not medical. I'm sure if you hooked up with a good school, you'd have some decent resources for work after you complete a course. I almost did Career Step but then didn't want to spend the money. Don't worry about not having work. As long as people get sick (I mean, really--let's tell it like it is), there'll be work. Here are two Web sites I think are pretty helpful:

http://www.mtjobs.com

http://www.mtchat.com/frame.php?frame=message

In the future, I'd love to apply to work for an MT company that doesn't require specialized experience (that way, I can get out of taking any courses).

Just be sure to research whatever school you're using w/the BBB. Some of them are ripoffs.

Good luck!
