I feel very alone...

I feel very alone right now. Just when I think I'm starting to feel better and having a good day, the anxiety comes right back. I won't go into details b/c I'm sure I'm just repeating the same thing over and over again ... must be frustrating.

But I am going away this weekend (I described the feelings in my post from yesterday) and am very worried about the anxiety taking over and feeling scard and alone when I am away.

Please, can anybody offer any helpful words of advice or comfort?

Thanks, Heather. I'll check them out. Funny thing: I recommended Max Lucado to you, in another post. hehe.

Hi Maribeth, I read your posts. I am relatively new to this board too and it has helped me so much. You do not have to feel bad about sharing your feelings, no matter what. That's what this board is for......I too can have days when I worry about everything, from going away for a weekend to getting through a dr. appt. I've had it already when we were gone for a weekend, every hospital we passed, I imagined I would probably end up there with anxiety. NUTS HUH? But I am getting better, step by step. So please believe we are here for you. This is a place where I can share my thoughts, my dh is very helpful but he doesn't understand the level of anxiety I have sometimes. Hugs and Prayers to you. Hi Heather, I hope you and your little ones are on the mend. It's tough when they aren't feeling well, and then when you are sick too. Boy, that's not good for the anxiety. Whenever I feel sick, I wonder if I'm sick or if it's the anxiety. Also, thanks for the info on the devotional books. I think I will go get one. If I didn't have my faith I don't know if I would get through the day sometimes. Take care, hope things are better. Jan.

hi Jan,

The good news is that we are getting better. My body aches have gone away but I have the worst sore throat today. Yes, i have had that problem, wondering if it's anxiety or sickness. I had a hard time with that last night and ended up getting myself anxious. I felt out of it for a while and I have today too, I am just going with it and getting better.

I wear a cross around my neck and it helps me so much, I also wear a little pin with footprints that stands for the footprints poem.

I agree that faith has a lot to do with feeling better. That has gotten me through so many tough days. Dh and I are going to be baptised soon.

Talk later!

Hi Heather, so glad you are on the mend. It's no fun being sick in the summer. Congrats too, on your upcoming baptism. Would you believe I have a footprints poem on a picture in our bedroom. I Love That Poem So Much, it has meant a lot to me. I have had a good couple of days, and we can be thankful for that can't we. One day I spent with 2 of my grandchildren, and one day my friend and I went to a movie and for lunch. It was great.....to forget the stress and problems for a little while. I hope you have a great 4th of July.....Jan
