My hamster had to be put to sleep!
| Fri, 07-01-2005 - 4:34pm |
I am so sad and upset! My hamster was very sick, and had to be put to sleep. And, all I can think of is that I didn't take it to the vet's soon enough. I feel horrible! I loved my little guy! I love having pets, but hate the pain when they pass....

Renee,
I am so sorry to hear that. My cat ran away when I was 15 and I understand the feeling of the loss.
Do the best you can to keep yourself together and don't blame yourself. I'm sure that you did what you though was right, thats all you can expect from yourself.
Take Care and email me if you need to chat..

Oh, Renee, I feel so bad. I had a pet cappuchian monkey, he died before I got him to the vet. I'll never forget it. We had a big blizzard and the roads were impassable & I couldn't get him there. I always wish I had taken him sooner. I know how you feel :(

Thanks girls. It helps to know that you understand. I woke up this morning, and remembered he was gone. And then I got sad again. I guess it will just take time. I have two bunnies, too, so I still have some warm snugglies to indulge in.
Katie, I'm sorry to hear about your rattie. Do what you think is best for it. I know how you hate to see him suffer. That's why we decided to have Zippy put to sleep. Little or not, our I still loved my little hammie like my buns, and I'm sure you love your rattie, too. Sorry...!

Hugs & Positive Thoughts Always,
Aww, I'm sorry, Danielle. Calvin was a cat, I assume, by the name. Isn't that terrible, when they're first gone, and you wake up, and remember they are not there? I can't bear to look at his "stuff." I was putting it away today, and crying.
Well, thanks for the reply,
Renee
