Hello! My weekend was pretty good. We took the dogs to a nice state park all day Saturday and one of them got to swim so that was neat. We did some hiking with them. The other one waded in the water. Sunday we went boating on a lake with my mom and her boyfriend my younger sister and cousin. We did some tubing and had a great time with that. I fell off the boat dock when we were pulling the boat up to get out. Kind of one of those things like you see on TV where someone has one leg on the dock and the other on the boat still and they start to do the splits as the boat floats out! Not good. I lost my balance and went down. Oh well, only a few bruises from hitting the underside of the dock and some bruises to my pride :) Nah, it was fun overall. Monday we had a cookout with my husband's parents and took the dogs to their place to run around with us. I did some biking Sunday and Monday too. That is my big stress reliever. Practiced my kickboxing some too. I had the funny feelings a few times here and there but was able to get past it.

Hi Everyone! My weekend started with my daugter's birthday party here! Then Grand baby's kid party on the 2nd 9 kids under 7 WOW!! LOTS OF FUN slip and slide the pool and sprinkler's then a storm came just as we were lighting the candles on our lanai( screen porch) the wind blew out the candle and Saylor was very angry at that!! Finally I blocked the wind being BIG is good for something LOL The kids decorated their own cupcakes which was a lot of fun! Then on the 4th another party for family and Saylor's "real" birthday
dinner cake and off to see the fireworks this kid certainly has everyone celebrating LOL
I am now very tired!! If I see another piece of cake I think I will scream!!!!!
I ATE TOO MUCH!!!
I am so PROUD of myself we went to the Pier to see the fireworks hubby and I
we somehow got seperated!! I realized that there was no way of finding him right away and the fireworks started soooooooooooo I just stood and watched them!! WOuld have been nice to be with someone I knew but hey you can't have everything!! The best thing is I DID NOT PANIC!!! YAY! I made my way to where I thought he might be and sure enough he stood by the entrance to the bar waiting for me!! I was glad I did not have to keep searching all over for him! I HATE GETTING LOST and usually have a meeting place set up ahead of time-
I don't think I could work even if I had to after this long holiday!!! I NEED SOME REST!
Hubby said don't answer the phone!! LOL Hope you all had a good time too! Judy

Good for you, Judy, about not panicking. :) I have to say I was proud of myself for not panicking in a Port-A-Potty. God. Those things are so gross, but anyway ... we went to DC the day before the Fourth and visited the American History Museum then went to the dress rehearsal for the Capital Fourth concert. There was still a large crowd, but it was all right. We did a lot of walking, but I feel OK--just stopped every so often. :) DH worked Monday, so I didn't do much of anything. :) Glad you all had nice holidays.

Wow! I wrote out a very long post yesterday and it's gone :( I had a feeling it didn't work. I didn't make it to CT. My dd had her baby 7 weeks early & he had to be sent to a NICU 6 hours away - we had to babysit the 2 grandsons. Glad to hear everyone else's was good!

I am sorry, Sheri Ann. I know how you had yourself all *psyched* for the trip. Is the baby doing ok? Does he have a name? Any particulars you can share would be welcome. Keeping you & yours in my T&P's. jan

Hi Jan,
my weekend was great, thanks for asking! in fact, it was so good that i extended it through yesterday too :) the hot dog eating contest was a bust...we got there too late and couldn't see a thing! actually my boyfriend could see, cause he's 6'4, but it wasn't very conducive for someone who's 5'3. oh well, we hung out on the beach instead and i got a really bad sun burn. the fireworks display here was spectacular, i've never seen anything like it. of course, i was a little drunk at the time, which may have enhanced the experience. anyway, we watched the show over the empire state building, which was awesome.
and yesterday i went to the yankees game and they beat up on my team the orioles :((
