(((Shasta))) I hope you get to feeling better. Thx for thinking of me. I had a great outing. A beautiful day for travelling. Went through some Amish country. Rather flat farmland with lots of big sky & those *puffy* clouds that look like cotton candy were everywhere. (I am a hill country girl.) Stopped for fresh blueberries. Yum.

Aww Jan-It did sound like you were having the perfect day! What was your girl thinking!
Teenagers! I remember those days. I never shoplifted, but my best friend did with another girl and got busted. Made me look pretty good considering her folks always thought I was the 'trouble maker' and the one that always got my bf into trouble! hee hee! But she is still my bf after 20 years! So what kind of punishment is your dd getting? I know you have some issues between yourself and her. Just have faith that this is just a faze and she will grow out of it, I am positive! I know it is tough in the meanwhile tho' I couldn't stand my mom in hs, but now she is my best best friend in the whole world. <3 Definietly don't let it bring you down, and remember the day for the time you spent with your friend and those wonderful clouds, I can just picture them in my head. :0D
I love clouds! My dh even painted some for me in my bathroom, that I can look at while I am taking a soak in the tub :0)
Anyhow,I am doing a little better, I get these bad headaches in my eyes, along with my other health issues, so I just needed a break. Hopefully I can get all caught up on everyones' posts in the next day or so,as this slowly is going away.
I miss chatting with everyone, and would like to welcome our new comers, too!
I hope you have a great Sunday, Let's talk soon k? Take care of you! hugs, shasta
p.s. Are you considering that surgery? It sounds pretty scary to me too!

Thx for thinking of me, Shasta. My dd sees her therapist tomorrow & I am calling him to see what he thinks should be done. I know that sounds pretty dumb, but I have lost alot of my confidence in raising this girl. Yikes! Frankly, I think he needs a head's up because I don't think she'll tell him what she did.

As for the surgery, it took 3 years of pain & agony to convince me to have my gallbladder removed. I am the biggest baby around. LOL I went along for personal edification & moral support. I won't be going under the knife anytime soon:)

I'm glad you're feeling a little better. Glad to see you back. I only have a headache on rare occasions & of course, I panic. I don't know how you cope with one's that last for days. TTYS (((hugs))) jan

That doesn't sound dumb at all,Jan. I think that is a good idea to tell the therapist what happened and to see what he thinks you should do. And you are probably right, she may not tell him what happened. I hope everything goes ok,and that her session with the therapist helps to explain why she did that. Good Luck, I will be thinking of you!
I am glad you aren't doing that surgery, it did sound scary to me. Do you think you friend is going to do it tho?
As for this darn headache,it is still here,I was panicking a little too, because for some odd reason my eye was twitching for a couple of days...So of course, I was thinking I have a tumor or something really wrong. I got myself pretty anxiety ridden, But am feeling better today, except for the darn headache! I hope it goes away soon, because it is making me dizzy too, and I have too much to get done around here!
Keep me posted on how things go today, Sending you P&PT's!

Shasta I get those headaches from my allergies!
Like my eyes are ready to POP out of my head--
I used to have to stay indoors out of the pollen when
that happened they aren't as bad here in Florida as they
were in NY. The dizziness I have still tho I think I get
too much water in my ears on top of the fluid from allergies!
I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL YUCK!!
JAN
Your daughter sounds like my youngest was!! OH MAN I PITY YOU
I swear it is a horrible teen illness they go through
it is like anything to make you mad!! Like a two year old only
much older and knows better!! I feel she needs some discipline!!
She is testing you I would say??? What do you think?
They sure make life hard on us! Take care and I hope she learns from
this- HUGS!! Judy

Thx, Judy! That's exactly what I am thinking. This kid asks *why not?* more than a 2 yo asks *why?* She has me driven right up the wall. NEVER is that girl where she's supposed to be! If her mouth is moving, she's lying! I have to watch her like a hawk. I remember putting those plastic thingys in the electrical outlets & locking up the cleaning supplies when my kids were little. Well, that is NOT enough for her. This is like a police state. I'm thinking about getting a book on Gestapo tactics. See why *I* have to go to a therapist??? LOL Honestly, I'm dancing as fast as I can, here. I will pull through. But, I looked in the mirror as I passed it the other day & thought to myself, *Gee, jan, you don't need to pay for highlights. You already have them.* (((hugs))) jan

She TOLD the therapist what she'd done. Can you believe it? He was really disappointed. In fact, she said his face looked as if he thought she was *dumb.* Go figure! For now, she's grounded & went to the magistrate's office today & pled guilty. She had big plans for her next 2 paychecks, but I told her they HAD to go in the bank to pay the fines. She is NOT going to drag it out over 6 months in payments. There was alot of yelling about this. She told me if she didn't have money to buy school clothes, she just wouldn't go to school. I said, *then I guess you won't be living here.* She can move out if she doesn't go to school. I have an appointment to see the therapist on the 25th. I hope I can make it till then, Shasta! Thx for thinking of me. (((hugs))) jan
