Hi all. I'm Carrie - new to the board, but not the village. I'm a 29yo sahm to 7yo Hollyann and 9yo Tristan, and I've been married to Michael for coming up on 11yrs. We've been a Navy family for all but 7months of that time together. Currently, we are in CT, but originally hail from PA.

I was just recently dx'd with general anxiety with depressive traits, and started taking Effexor for it 2wks ago. It does seem to be helping some. I actually WANT to be with my kids, which is something that I haven't felt in quite some time! And, I have more patience with with my son - he's dx'd with BiPolar Disorder, ADHD, high functioning Autism, has a possible seizure disorder, and is partially deaf on his left side. Currently, he'll be heading into 4th grade - whether he'll stay mainstreamed or not is still yet to be determined.

Anyway, I've been boppin' in and out for a short time now, so I thought I would finally speak up. Me and Tristan are in the midst of making dinner, so I best get going. I'll be back for more later.
