I signed up for 2 classes, one is online & one is self-study. For the self-study one I will have to go to a testing sight about 2 hours from my home to take the final exam. I'm so worried I will have a panic attack during the test. What would I do then? The class hasn't even started and already I'm making plans for my dh to sit in the waiting room for 2 hours and promise not to leave to smoke, lol. I feel so silly. The online one is A&P, I need that for my RN. I'm about 8 courses way from being able to test for my RN & figured I may as well spend all this time at home doing something postive for me & my self-esteem! I'm excited & nervous at the same time!

That's great news! I am so happy for you, Sheri Ann. Keep that test in the future where it belongs. Who said the other day that their *T* told them to put a stop sign in their head? That was a great share! We can all use that technique when we begin to worry about something that's miles away. Can you practice sitting in the library 15 minutes everyday? Increasing 5 minutes until you hit that 2 hour mark? As for the actual test, google *test anxiety* & see what comes up. I know ppl who have paid for classes to help them through test fears. I'm pretty sure you can find lists of techniques to help you for free. Don't forget you have meds, belly breathing & positive thinking under your belt, plus you're doing well with driving. Good luck & GBU! (((hugs))) jan

i'm taking a nursing class & another pre-req so i can get my RN. I stopped taking classes and dropped the ones I was enrolled in when this bout of panic started. I couldn't even think.

ITA with everyone else. Good for you for taking that step into class! You've got a good support system, and I know you can make it through. Just don't look at everything at once, but take it step by step. Have a wonderful Monday. :)
